title says all, will MLB 2k6 have actual minor league players? unlike in MVP 2005 when EA just made up player names.

Nope!
Everyone that is in the game has to be part of the players association. And to be apart of that, you have had to have played in at least 1 major league game. However, they could be in it if 2k signed each player to a "contract" that let them be in the game. That is why you don't see Barry Bonds, and that guy on Boston. You will see made up guys, but their ratings will reflect those of the real minor leaguers.

MVP used all of the minor leaguers they could. That is basically anyone who was in the MLBPA-which is basically anyone who actually played in the majors.
Everyone else had to be made up.
I would assume it would be similar in this game. It would be ex*****e and very time consuming to get the rights of all minor leaguers.

I only care about the good minor leugers....so y dont they get the best 2 prospects from each mlb team. Thats only like 60 players...and Im sure some of them will sign contracts for free just to be in the game.

Minor Leaguers are an important factor in video games. Like MVP 05 the majority of the minor leaguers were ficticious, but thats ok because they gave us the option to change their names and attributes. In the Xbox version of this game I had, I named all the players and the minor league feature that MLB2k5 had were ok once the players had names. I take a great deal of pride in my rosters. I am looking forward to having the option to edit my players and make rosters as I did with MVP. MVP had teams all the way from A to MLB and I had all accurate rosters with the most accurate attributes. I put alot of work into the scouting and so on. After all video games are all us washed up minor leaguers have left to fulfil our dreams. So lets look forward to this being good for 360, so far I am not too thrilled with all my EA games for 360 in fact I am thinking about getting NCAA baseball and hooking up the old Xbox!
