I would say that Bailey was a better CB than Springs, but when you can trade to get Portis and then fill Bailey's place with Springs - do it!
Damn, the NFC East is going to be a great conference!!

was extremely athletic w/ good size when he came in the league.
has had some issues , and been inconsistent , but still has the talent, and could be a good player if he is focused.

As a huge Seahawk fan, I am going to tell you that he got signed FOR WAY TOO MUCH MONEY. I don't know what Snyder was thinking. He was a pro-bowler....a long time ago(1998). He lacks effort, gets burnt lots out there, had hamstring problems for the last part of his career, was the 2nd and sometimes 3rd corner for the Hawks last year and chalked up alot of PI penalties.

He looks pretty happy with all that money he didn't deserve.
I hope the training staff have fun with his hammie!!

That may well be true, but it's kinda nice to have a Springbrook Blue Devil back in the area.

Hey REDSFAN i understand your point but in FridayFrenzy's mind everyone in the league overpays for their players but Seattle....lol but wait that 6 yr 33 million dollar deal they gave Grant Winstrom comes to mind and thats not including the $14 million dollar signing bonus...all for a guy who hasnt made the Pro Bowl..
but Springs if hes healthy is good for the Skins especially if you guys get Sean Taylor..... that secondary is going to be scary...

Shawn springs has never been injury free for a few years now, whats to say that he will be healthy of a sudden this year?
As for Shawn Springs being a good CB.....he was the nickel back on the Seahawks.....and its not like the Seahawks have stellar CBs in Trufant and Lucas. He is a name, thats it.

They had to pay the extra to insure a good DE. I never said the Seahawks never overpaid for Winstrom. They had to pay him high to make sure they got him after losing out on the Kearse stakes. The Hawks were in desperate for a play making DE. Winstrom was the second best rated Free Agent this year by many Sport sites behind Kearse. The guy is a hardworking individual who can play the runand the pass very well and doubles Kearse in tackles in a year.
Why are you changing the topic of this thread to Winstrom....if you want to discuss that then start a new thread. I posted a news item about Springs, where does Winstrom come into this? Oh ya thats right....Ahem...TROLL!

Under Good job, Mr agent
Ahmed Plummer: The 49ers paid him a whopping $10 million to sign. Come on guys, now it's really getting out of control.
Shawn Springs: $10 million to sign in Washington. See previous statement.
Thank You and goodnight. Who exactly has the blinders on?
