... of the possible trade between the METS, Red Sox, Orioles, and Devil Rays!

As a mets fan, I think the mets are giving up a little too much. But, they would get Manny and Baez. But, you give up Benson& benson- http://www.dodgerblues.com/images/anna-benson_sm.jpg. :) You also give up, Heilman and Jae Seo. However, on the plus side we finally get rid of Kaz Matsui. Just giving up so much pitching. Yea, our bullpen would be HOTT!!! But, our starting pitching would not look so good.

Pedro
Glavine
Trachsel
Victor Martinez
????????????

That's not a very good rotation, even with K-Dro. Pedro can't pitch every night. I would have loved to have gotten A.J Burnett.

However, there would be sooo many possibilities in the lineup

Reyes
Beltran
Wright
Manny
Delgado
Floyd
LoDuca
Anderson Hernandez
Pitcher

or

Reyes
Beltran
Delgado
Manny
Wright
Floyd
LoDuca
Anderson Hernandez
Pitcher

Not bad of a line up. But, this is the NL and you need starting pitching. Should be exciting.

HOWEVER, this deal is yet to be finalized. We shall see.
Boston would get Tejada though.

You guys can sign Weaver, if they take Jae Seo away and sign Tavarez for Heilman's spot

If you don't like Weaver, your other choices are Clemens and Estes

As a Red Sox fan I've yet to decide... it fills three major holes- SS, CF, and leadoff hitter, but we lose Manny, which affects Papi, we lose Clemente, which I don't view as a big deal, but then we also lose one of the most highly touted prospects in the game in Marte. So we fill a number of holes, but we still give up a lot.

They say there's a rumor that Red Sox gets Kaz Matsui for Cora

Exactly. I dont want to lose Marte. Manny will be filled in by Tejada(as far as Ortiz is concerned) I dont really care about Clement(over paid)

The Red Sox would get Tejada and Tampa's CF Joey Gathright.

Sry couldn't tell you that part... I think the deals falling apart though, so I wouldn't concern yourself with it to much.

do you have a link for this?

I like Kaz Matsui and would really hate to see him go. Come on people, stop constantly booing him and give the guy a chance! I believe this will be his year, hopefully he will continue the way he did at the end of last year.

You just proved that you are not a true, loyal met fan. Im not going to appologize for what I am saying, because if any avid met fan agrees on one thing, it is that Kaz Matsui is poison. "Sure give him a chance". We did 2 years ago. "OK that was his first year in US, he'll be better in 05'." I went to 20 met games last year and cant tell you how many times Matsui was a rally killer when they needed him most. Not to mention his speechlessly disgusting play on the field. ***AN DIDNT EVEN WANT HIM ON THE WBC AND HE WAS THE MVP OF THE ***AN LEAGUE WHEN HE LEFT!!! GIVE HIM A CHANCE????!!!!! Even the mets front office wants to get rid of him, even more than I wanna get rid of the itch just above my right testicle!!! AND THATS PRETTY BAD!!! I'd rather see Mr. Met play second base than Kaz Matsui.

^^^^^^
He, I was just about to post something like this. Not to those extremes, but you have to be kidding me. Give "him" another chance? Wow, you have to be kidding me. We are talking abou the same Kaz Matsui, right? Scratch that, I don't think there is anyone else with his name. Wouldn't you rather give Anderson Hernandez, top 2nd base prospect, a shot at it. I would not understand it if Kaz started this year. Or, as I like to call him, Chopsui. The GUY SUCKS!

If this trade were to go through, I WANT MORE STARTING PITCHING FROM SOMEONE!!!
however, these talks have calmed down. Probably will heat up eventually.
