Animations definitely improved, and it looks like there's an Umpire Mode where you are the umpire 1st person mode.

Still some bad looking animations, but definitely improved. I also like the new presentation now that ESPN is gone.

looks good, although I also saw some bad animations on there, such as the horrible swing animation that has been around for the past couple of years. Jeez, fix it already, wats so hard?

Actually, it's not an Umpire Mode, it was the 1st Person view of the catcher throwing to 1st base I think. Anyway, yeah looks like they kept the same swing animation and could you tell they cut off the end of the animation to show more clips. They know the swing looks bad how the batter pulls his head so much and they're trying to hide it.

it looks bad. i am disapointed. the weird little first base pop-up looked bad. that horrible swing looked bad. the ball physics look better, but still bad. the pitching wind up looked bad.

i hope the xbox 360 version is better

Waaa to all complaining, because it looks much better overall. The animations overall look much smoother and transition really well. The swing animations never bothered me much, but the fielding did. Overall, the movements look more life-like, and more like people. The line drive looked really nice. I don't think there was enough scenes to make an honest judgement, but overall, you can see the changes.

I think i found a bug... not a big deal but... take a look:

Do you remember that picture with a runner without his helmet?

No? OK, here it is:

http://www.2ksports.com/_img/screens/mlb2k6/mlb2k6_121905_3.jpg

So now take a look at this screenshot that i took:

http://img420.imageshack.us/img420/8571/bugmlb2k61ov.jpg

As you can see, the batter is at the batter's box without his helmet. I think it is because he already ran and his helmet should have felt off, and then everytime he steps at the box he will have no helmet...

I'm not being a crying baby or whatever, i'm just trying to alert the developers about this. This should be very easy to fix.

BTW, i liked some new animations. Some are much much better. The tag animation is good now, it used to be horrible.

The collision at the plate was a little awkard. It seemed like the batter had already past the catcher and was stepping at home and then all of a sudden he collides with the catcher.

Wowho... finally some new media, unfortunatly you don't really get to see whole animations for the most part... there all kinda cut up of cut off.

On another note, I wish Muff was here, he'd of noticed hundreds of things by now.

Looks much improved.

I always felt like the curveballs float instead of break or snap. Whenever I miss one, it is because I am out ahead of it, not because it was dirty and broke down under my swing.

After watching trailer, I think the developers will have a lot to say about new things..

Well, I do see some improvements, but since I have a 360, I'm more worried about what that one is going to look like. Hopefully there will be many improvements for all formats so everyone can enjoy a great baseball game!

Concerning No-Helmet-Man, the first pic shows a Dodger, while the second is a Yankee... but who doesn't wear a freakin helmet?

Man, I'm still hating those animations for batting.

Looks the same as last year.

I did notice no net in first sequence.

Runner didnt attempt to get out of diving 1b way, is there collision or not?

Why does it say Payoff Pitch when its 0-1?

Whats with announcing the players favorite pitch, can we avoid throwing his fav pitch and get him out easier?

Is the passed ball bug back?

The Cubs player hits the catcher and at the point of impact he is already behind the catcher.

**C'mon beta tester guys there will be time to play King Kong later. If they cant find this **** on their own then grab a pen and jot this stuff down or even easier just hit print.**

Note to 2k, now that you have the MLB license to yourself (kinda) you have to step up and put a stellar product out there. Imperfections and bugs are just gonna make you look bad.

The Game may look bad with videos, but NBA 2k6 really improved from 2k5, and NFL 2k6 would have been amazing, but they will be back.

MLB just give it a chance, 2k Sports have been improving every year since they came out, unlike EA who put the same games out.

Things I noticed:

SAME CHECK SWING ANIMATION FROM LAST YEAR.
SAME RUNNING TECHNIQUE TO 1ST BASE FROM LAST YEAR.
NEW PITCHOUT CAMERA LOOKS GOOD
SAME CATCHER THROWING ANIMATION ON WILD PITCHES FROM LAST YEAR
NEW PITCHING INTERFACE LOOKS SMOOTHER THAN LAST YEAR. (I Like that you can see your pitchers fatigue % on-screen)

Hopefully the more we see, the more different some of the animations will look. So far I like what I saw..

To me it looks the same, with a few updated animations. I don't like how the score is at the top of the screen, reminds me of Fox. I hate the way Fox's setup is. Should of left the score the same way and just threw a 2ksports logo on it :).

So far, it looks pretty good. Can't wait for them to release some 360 info though. But, for those who are criticizing it so early, the game doesn't come out till a couple more months. This game is no where close to being finished.

nice thinks you pointed out guga. Thats stupid he has no helmet. Also, i noticed something,

ok look at the last scene of the trailer. The catcher gets the ball in his glove as the runner hits him. He switches it to his hand in a split second, and then transfers it back into his mit as he is falling down. Why the h.ell would he do that?

isn't the home-team always listed second? Look at the astros and Cubs highlight. They have the astros listed 1st at home.

Also, look at the play with Pods running back to 2nd. The ball is in the air, yet both Center Fielder and Left Fielder are standing up against the wall. If one of them had just dilevered it, he would be still in the process of runnig forward after the throw, or at least have come off the wall a bit. But both are standing statues as if a fan threw the ball from left.
