Since nobody has posted about the Ravens in over a year in this topic, i'll start.

Reasons the Ravens will suceed this year-
*The upgrades at WR
*Running the 46 Defense, which will be ran by defensive coord. Rex Ryan, whos father, Buddy Ryan created the 46 defense while with the bears.
*Jamal Lewis at RB is usually a safe bet
*Key additions on D include Dan Cody, great 2nd round draft pick, and CB Samari Rolle, who has had a lot of sucess as a Titan in the past years.
*Kyle Boller starting to emerge as a real starting QB.

Reasons the Ravens won't suceed this year-
*Deion Sanders and Ray Lewis are way past they're prime, look for Ray to have his worst season of his career and Deion Sanders not to have more than 1INT.
*Lack of depth at defensive line, no true superstars for the d lineman, which doesnt really matter when you have superstars at LB CB and saftey, but just stating a fact.
*Kyle Boller is still a ? The teams sucess may be if he can do well this season, or at very least, just don't turn the ball over.

I predict the Ravens final record to be 12-4.

Dan Cody was placed on IR recently. Peter Boulware was picked up and will play OLB on 3rd Down.

What are the expectations from all the Baltimore fans?

I see them going 12-4 and winning the division.

1 Sun, Sep 11 Indianapolis-LOSS(I think Indy will just barely beat the Ravens. It might take a few weeks before Baltimore starts to click. Come seasons end Baltimore might be a better team than the Colts but it's too early to even think about that. I still think it will take a weak or two for the offense to get going. It has the potential to be great though.)
2 Sun, Sep 18 at Tennessee-WIN
3 -- bye -- -- --
4 Sun, Oct 2 NY Jets-WIN
5 Sun, Oct 9 at Detroit-WIN
6 Sun, Oct 16 Cleveland-WIN
7 Sun, Oct 23 at Chicago-WIN
8 Mon, Oct 31 at Pittsburgh-LOSS(I think the Steelers will win at home)
9 Sun, Nov 6 Cincinnati-WIN
10 Sun, Nov 13 at Jacksonville-LOSS(Two great defenses and I think the Jags will manage to win. Baltimore is still the better overall team though)
11 Sun, Nov 20 Pittsburgh-WIN
12 Sun, Nov 27 at Cincinnati-WIN
13 Sun, Dec 4 Houston-WIN
14 Sun, Dec 11 at Denver-LOSS(It's always hard to win in Denver because of the dramtic climate change. Denever plays like one of the best teams in football at home)
15 Mon, Dec 19 Green Bay-WIN
16 Sun, Dec 25 Minnesota-WIN
17 Sun, Jan 1 at Cleveland-WIN

Honestly, I've looked through our schedule a few times and there are no games that we really have no shot at. Week 1 vs. Indy should be our toughest match-up but we are at home and we proved last year we can "shut down" the Colts offense. Not to mention with their defensive secondary (or lack thereof) Kyle Boller should be able to do some damage throwing deep passes to Mason and Heap and short curls to Moore and Clayton.

I really don't think Pittsburgh is gonna be that great this year, we could sweep them. I think we'll lose maybe one to Cincy and one to Denver.

I think the Ravens will go 14-2, win the division, get a 1st round bye, and then La-Di-Da-Di, win the Super Bowl.

you're and idiot and have no football knowledge if you think the raven are going 4-12. given i think it will be more along the lines of 10-6 but still. of course you also think the raiders are going to the superbowl too.
