Apparently TO's agent is filing another grievance against the league for not trading TO to a team of his liking.....

This guy has b*tched and moaned, and if it wasn't for his mouth, he'd be where he wanted to be....

Where did you get this info from???

I'm not sure what David Joseph (Owens' agent) can complain about because it is WELL DOCUMENTED that he was aware of the deadline for him to file for Owens to become a free agent.

In addition, Owens' agent has no say in a trade that is completed while he is under contract and does not have a no-trade clause.

ESPN radio...

I'll look around, but apparently he thought he was going to Phi, and Phi offered a 5th rounder and Thrash, but SF sent him to Baltimore...

I agree, he could've filed after the season ended, but waited till the last minute..

Apparently this stems from the previous grievance, in which they blamed the league/49ers for the paperwork not being filed....

Ok.... I read the article you posted and here's my take - and neither favor a grievance.

1. The article states that David Joseph is the one filing the grievance - which is a joke in itself because he couldn't properly file paperwork to allow Owens to become a free-agent earlier...

2. Seeing how the league already finalized the initial issue of whether Owens was a free agent or not, how could they possibly reverse their decision now?? After all, if you are under contract - you're not a free agent...therefore his agent has no right to intervene in anything that the 49ers decide to do with him.

Seeing that the linked article was from a Philly news source, I think this is just a team that's sour they missed out on Owens....just like the Red Sox are over A-rod going to the Yankees.

Oh, I'm not saying the deal isn't going through.. I'm just commenting on the immaturity of this guy and his agent....

On espn radio, they quoted a different source that wasn't philly, I'm sure it'll be out by the end of the day....

I think it'll serve the both right is Baltimore declines to re-work his contract and choose to run the 're-newed' 3 year deal that went into effect when they didn't properly file for free-agency.

What kind of steal would that be: 3 years for $17 million for one of the best WR's in the game....and only having to part with a 2nd round pick!

* ESPN is also now reporting on the possible deal with Philly - http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1751713
