My dad told me on the news today (because im a big fan of the Mariners) that they are talking about getting Griffey and he would be agreeable too it.

Now I know Griffey has been injured and hasnt been himself in the past 4 years but I think he needs to go back to Seattle, that was his home, thats where get got started and I have a feeling if he comes back he will get going again.

What you guys think about this? Will it fall through?

The biggest hurdle I think is Griffey's current contract. There's a lot of money he's due, so that is probably the only reason it would fall through.

i heard the report as well about griffey possibly going back to seattle i just wonder though since there is no turf in seattle and cincy is that why griffey keeps getting hurt because when he played on turf in seattle i dont ever recall him getting injured except for the crash against the wall breaking his wrist.and ever since going to the reds he keeps getting hurt i think hes not use to playing on grass so that might not be a good idea for seattle but who knows but if he does go back to seattle more power to him.

Of course age could also have something to do with his injuries. He ain't no spring chicken!

Griffey did start out in Seattle in the big leagues but he's from the Cincinnati area. It'll be interesting to find out if he wants to leave Cincinnati to go back to Seattle. Since Safeco Field has grass instead of the old Kingdome turf now.

He already said he was interested in the move back to Seattle.

Im really hoping Griffey comes back to Seattle. Thats where he started out, and thats basically where he ended. He hasnt even had a full year since he left.

Ya and he already said he was interested in Seattle.

I hope "The Kid" comes back to Seattle also, but I am pretty sure it wont happen...Contract is HUGE

Seattle has been going after Catcher Jason Kendall, and 1B Adam Dunn in the past week, so their attention to Griffey is slowly fading away....
