Rangers have made 8 trades in the last week. Can they still legally call themselves the Rangers?

They call it rebuilding process.
I am as a rangers fan disagree with one trade - Leetch. He did enough for franchise to end his career here in NYC.
Other than that (assuming that next season is a big big MAYBE) Ranger can build a good team by 2005/2006 season. I am more than sure that they will add some star power before start of the next season..(goalie may be :?: )
what is more interesting to me is how high will be Rangers ranked in next ESPN Hockey title....

They've been rebuilding for 10 years now. Time to throw in the towel and take up golf.

no, they havent been rrebuilding... they SHOULD have but they werent.
but they took the right steps this year fnally... as warden dais they should have a good team in about 2006, and maybe start contending in 2008 or 2009. It will be a tough few years ahead for the rangers, but you have to be bad before you are good, and watching young guys improve while losing is 10 times better than watching world class players lose.
And as far as the leetch trade... of COURSE it ****es the rangers fans off, but it is the best move for the team. yes it would havebeen perfect for leetch to end his career in NY, but for the good of the team;s future they needed something in return, as it is 00% clear the rangers werent gonna contend again in his career.

.
Rebuilding doesn't necessarilly mean only rookies and prospects. For ten years they have stocked their team with over-priced "talent" and prospects that can't even get them into the playoffs, let alone win a cup. The management for the Rangers is fiscally irresponsible but, more importantly, just plain stupid. It's fun watching them not play past April year after year. How can you have the likes of Poti, Nedved, Lindros, Leetch, Messier, Fleury, Jagr, Holik (at $9 million a year, no less), etc. and not even make the friggin' playoffs? Gimme a break.

For real, Holik makes as much as Yashin, yet doesnt get *****ed at like Yashin. Yash scores 32 and 26 goals in his first 2 years with the team and gets called an underachiever. He led the team in points every year but this one, and he was leading until he got hurt. Yashin owns.
Rangers dont make the playoffs because they have no chemistry, they dont work as a team. If I were Glen Sather i'd make the whole team watch "Miracle" until they figured it out.

So Bizmark should all hockey coaches ***** like Herb did, Mine did. Leetch sorry to see that one go but, all in the name of the cup. Leetch was going to need alot of money to stay, probably. and we have some fine young defenseman coming out, right? I mean we do, don't we?
