Shawn Andrews would be a big right tackle to add to the mix now. We still need a corner. I hope we draft aggresively this year.
personally i would love to get Andrews and Chris Gamble. if one or the other could possibly slip to us in the 2nd round. It those 2 are gone and Clarett is available i would still take him in round 2! - next year he would take over.

Mean joe - do you realize if the steelers had lost just 1 more game last year, because of the strength of schedule and the amount of losses - the Steelers would have the 5th pick with washington at 6 etc... We could have got sean taylor or traded the pick , the steelers have a lot of pride not to have taken that loss late in the season - some would say hard headed. Thats the steeler way though and i hope we get on top with some aggressive moves again.

Cornerback and quarterback need to be drafted. I would not draft Clarrett. Mel Kiper Jr. has the Steelers taking Phillip Rivers with there first pick. Hopefully, there will be a good, fast cover corner available when they get to their second pick. If Terry Fair is healthy and can still play, the Steelers may be in good shape next year.

yeah, duce sucks. he cant run. he can run over peeps every now and then though. im soooo happy my bucs signed garner and NOT duce. i think pittmann is about the same as duce...i like pittman more too

I think the biggest hole is the steelers pass defence. They are suspect at cornerback and even free safety . The Browns will shred the steelers w/garcia and terrel owens owns chad scott + i don't want to see marcus robinson jumping over the shorter deshea townsend! DeAngelo Hall might be the smart pick for this year(fast and a solid football player w/big play ability) and if chris hope can step up at free safety, they would have an average enough secondary.

also tempted by chris gamble and shawn andrews.

gamble will either become the next super agile/athletic cover corner or struggle big time in the NFL.

if the Steelers get Shawn Andrews they would go from rags to riches on the right side of the Oline. Andrews is a big massive rightTackles that is going to be a very good player in the NFL. Staley can't run left every play...

I hope they don't draft QB first. To many decent Qbs get available each year. And Rivers has that suspect arm motion (bernie kosar did ok like that though)

They need both a corner and a qb. Deshea Townsends problem is not that he is to short, his problem is that he is to slow. Chad Scott just isn't a cover corner. He gets burnt way to much by any receiver. Maybe he can try out at safety. If they think that they can get a good corner in the second round, they will probably go after Rivers if he is there in the first. If they would have drafted corners last year, they wouldn't be in this problem.
