Those of you who are follwing this might be interested in this tidbit.

NEW YORK -- Wide receiver Terrell Owens' request to be declared a free agent will be heard Saturday by an arbitrator, and a decision is expected the following day.

Owens was prevented from becoming a free agent when the NFL Management Council ruled last week that his agent, David Joseph, failed to void the last two years of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers by a Feb. 21 deadline.

The 49ers then traded Owens to Baltimore for a second-round pick.

The case, filed on Owens' behalf by the NFL Players Association, will be heard by Steven Burbank of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, who was selected jointly by the league and the NFLPA early last year to arbitrate such contract disputes.

Burbank will hear the case by conference call, and has informed the NFL he will announce the decision Sunday.

Owens' case will be argued by Richard Berthelsen, the union's general counsel and Jeffrey Kessler, their primary outside lawyer. Gregg Levy, the NFL's chief litigator, will argue the league's case.

I also read that never has this type of decision been over turned...so it looks like T.O. will have to like it or lunp it for the time being.

I realize this might only be of interest to Ravens fans and maybe Eagles fans who held out hope.....Congrats Ravens Fans and better luck next time Eagles Fans.

The Eagles dont even want him now!!,
He is ruining his rep even more...he is going to be worthless after all is said and done ...he needs to shut up and play ....
The league will not overturn the trade ...first of all the Ravens were going after him and darrell jackson from seattle...since they got T.O.
they cut off talks with Darrell jackson...now Jackson has signed with Seattle again and the Ravens have T.O. so that would be a bad decision if the league did overturn this the ravens would need compansation because they would be stuck without a top receiver like they thought they had....plus the big reason this isnt going to be overturned is ...IT WAS TERRELL"S AGENTS FAULT!!!!! the League doesnt do things when its someone elses mistake..which is what this is....He needs to shut up and play and think!!!
He has it f-ing great there in Baltimore and now he has the fans and players hating him and not really wanting him there but to just ride the pine and rot for 3 years....and who will want a 33 year old WR that hasnt played in 3 years ?? Nobody.....shape up T.O.....your in a awesome situation with the Ravens....there a team on the climb and the eagles are downsizing for sure....get with it man!

Bottom line TO is just a punk.

I wouldnt even want that cancer on my squad.

If I was the Ravens I would trade his azzzzz to a NFL Europe team.

seriously though how many players have you seen in the nfl that have talked trash and not do what they say they can do? More than likely most of them except for a good hand full.

Well Penny...How do you think I feel? You're crying about people saying T.O. is no Good?

How about People saying the Patriots and Tom Brady are no good?

That's just flat out BS...and that's a WHOLE TEAM. I'm sick of hearing "Lucky" and other cr=ap like that...crying about 1 man? Try a whole team.

Penny,

Keyshawn's stats were so good through his career, that they told him to STAY AWAY FROM THE TEAM. There is more to football players then stats, and if you don't believe me, look at the team the Redskins fielded these last few years vs. production. To Hench's credit, no one on the Patriots had stats that were top 3 in the last 3 years, other then Lombardi trophies....

Owens is a very talented WR. But this stuff that is going on right now is the VERY REASON why I did not want him in Baltimore in the first place. Was it the right move by the Ravens front office? I'd say YES it was. They did what they thought would greatly enhance their passing game. But this is what you get with Owens. High Risk-High reward. Owens is showing already that he REFUSES to be controlled. If he stays a Raven he will do his best and REFUSE to play here. Even if he does play here, I don't want to see what he'll do to Boller and Matt Cavs because he thinks he's not getting the ball enough. Then on top of that, with a young developing QB, Owens doesn't care, he'll go tell the media, well the things out there that are happening is not my fault. If they would just give ME the ball we would be better. And he won't hesitate in the slightest degree to tear down his QB. Boller does not NEED that. While it was the right move, right now we are experiencing the HIGH-RISK portion of the move.

Hold it ...we dont know if any of this would for sure happen...he has a big mouth now...but what after a big new contract with the team?? Or what about once he is in Ray Lewis locker room??? I doubt he will say much....Thats why they were interested in him ..they think they have a very strong personality in there locker room and that should offset T.O.
Philly was thinking the same thing ...they think Mcnabb is a strong force in the locker room and would keep him in line....and i think if they come out winning that solves all the problems...hard to complain when you are winning....And i think Brian Billck and Ray Lewis are no punks they wont stand for T.O.'s cr-ap....last year Chris Mcalister missed a team meeting...now keep in mind chris mcalister is a probowl corner and was having his best year ever last year...but after he missed the meeting he was fined and BENCHED!! The Ravnes are not afraid to repremand there players and it would be no different with T.O.
I do think Terrell needs to shut up and play...and comparing himself to rosa parks isnt helping his status....I think the thing he needs to do is before the judgment comes out sunday and rules in favor of the Ravens(lets not kid ourselves it was his agents fault) he needs to apologize and make amends with the Ravens fans,Players, media etc......because i think if he does this he will get his new contract and maybe just maybe be happy.....i think it will be good for Boller to have a top receiver like that to grow with ....he can show boller the ropes ...and maybe they bond...who knows....i mean Owens liked Rattay over Garcia because Garcia was set in his ways and rattay wasnt.....Garcia in many ways overshadowed Owens and T.O. didnt really like that...but in Baltimore he will be the passing game and the go to guy...i dont think he will care as long as they are winning and who cares if the Ravens still only pass for 200 yards a game T.O. would get 150 of it.....

the backup qb is always the most popular guy in a city...

High risk High reward, Owens can help bring boller along, or bury him

Well now that we know THAT'S not happening...

I'm not trying to be inflamatory...but I am curious to hear the spin from the two raven folks who were convinced that TO was going to be in Baltimore, etc.

Oh, and did the drama die down yet?

Well Rev...that's not going to happen because the 2 Ravens fans really turned out to be just 1 Ravens Fan "DISGUISED" as 2...It was discovered that Rave_Nomad and Ravens_Beat_You were the same guy. "THEY" / "HE" was banned for 2 weeks for being unruley.

This was ravens_beat_you's FIRST post which came the day AFTER Rave_Nomad LOST his RETIREMENT MATCH with KRAFTSINGLES

Quote: ravens_beat_you

"I've been reading the forum posts for a while now and i just now decided to sign up and write as it were,Im In Maryland and i am a diehard Ravens
fan,we did only have a 2nd round pick so im very happy we landed Terrell Owens, I think he will be a great Player for us and we needed teams to believe we have a passing game, Im not saying we will win the SuperBowl but if any team looks past us i think it would be a mistake.

I dont know if i agree with everything i have read from this Rave_nomad
but it seems to me he likes to get attention and stir things up."

End Quote

Great way to throw the Dogs off the scent. But I do like the calmer version of his alter ego. Rave_Nomad should retire and just stick to being ravens_beat_you...he's a more likeable guy. Notice...no comments from either man since this happened? Guess we'll have to wait another 2 weeks before we hear how this was the best thing for his team and how this will only make the Ravens better.

I do think it was the best thing for the Ravens though...lick your wounds Ravens and go get yourself some new talent. That's all I can say. Unfortunately Boller is still young and unproven and waiting for Boller to grow would've likely frustrated a NEED IT NOW kinda guy like Owens. I think T.O. is much more dangerous in Philly and NOW I may have to eat my words that he's just OK. Smile Penny
