I am planning to join XBOX live soon but have some questions?

1. What are the 1st ,2nd, and 3rd best cable internet companies to go with?

2. Can you be online with xbox live playing a game while someone else (My wife) is just surfing the net? Is there a way to split the cable connection for xbox and computer.

3. How difficult is it to register?

4. How difficult is it to navigate on xbox live?

5. How difficult is it to find a friend or start a tournament?

6. Can you always find someone to play ESPN NBA?

7. Can you join Xbox live with the free 2 month trial w/o buying the starter kit? If yes, does that void the free year trial that you get when you buy the starter kit? Is it neccessary to buy the starter kit?

:idea: I think with cable , its all cable so go with the best price/deal over the contract. Most peeps are limited to what company in their area.

:idea: Yea it works fine. You will probably want a router. (cable comes with a modem and you plug a cat5cable from the modem to the back of your router , and you have a cat5cable from the the back of your computer to the front of the router, and a cat5cable from the front of the router to your xbox.) (you might need to buy a cat5cable and a router)

3. How difficult is it to register?

:idea: Easy , you need the xboxlive card w/code , and a creditcard because after your 2or12 months is up they want to charge you if you dont cancel.

4. How difficult is it to navigate on xbox live?

:idea: Easy , they have on screen help at the bottom. (a selects, b goes back etc)

5. How difficult is it to find a friend or start a tournament?

:idea: If you play someone you like add them to friends or add a friend from online to your list. Not sure about tournaments , I havent started them yet.

6. Can you always find someone to play ESPN NBA?
:idea: Not sure

7. Can you join Xbox live with the free 2 month trial w/o buying the starter kit? If yes, does that void the free year trial that you get when you buy the starter kit? Is it neccessary to buy the starter kit?

:idea: you can do free2month trials as much as you want , make sure you read the back of the card for details tho. The starter kit is just a 12 month card and mech assault game.
