The game is solid beside the lack of player detail. Brandon Rush does look similar to his real life counterpart, but Tyler Hansbrough has blonde hair. J.J. Red**** looks like Kirk Hinrich.

The real problem is that the net physics are still better on current gen. 2K get the same net physics that are in the current gen games for NBA 2K7 and CHoops 2K7 on the 360!!
I don't see how the net physics can be so good on current gen and so bad on next gen. On CHoops 2K6 the ball goes through the same spot on the net everytime. The ball goes through like the side of the net and not even through the net.

The game speed at 50 is nice and it doesn't seem too fast or too slow. This game captures the college game nicely and there are more defenses and the crowd is definately better than NBA 2k6. The only thing that NBA has that is better is player models and player names.

NET PHYSICS AND REALISTIC BALL PHYSICS would make this game a lot better.

On the plus side....Choops 2K6 does have a nice flow to it and teams play realistically and players play realistically(J.J. comes off screens and hits plenty of jumpers). It's nice that I can drive and dish now and there are some different free throw animations, but they are more random than signature. When you edit the players and give them their names the announcers say them which is awesome. The gameplay on this game is better than NBA and if you liked NBA and you like college hoops, then you will love this game. Edit the players on your favorite teams and give them your names and hear their names or yours if you create yourself. This is a must buy for the 360 for college hoop fans.

I have to say that I think this game is extremely well done. (I haven't seen the old-gen version, though, so I can't compare them.)
It's better than NBA2k6, I think, because it's much deeper on the gameplay side. And that's what I really like about the game.
The college game is harder to emulate on a vidgame, because there's such defensive variety. In the NBA, pretty much everyone has got to play the same defensive sets, with a few exceptions.
BUt in college, there are myriad ways to set up your D, and I think this game really gets it right on the AI side of things. You've got to worry about beating the press with some teams and not others. Traps and trapping zones are quite nicely implemented. It's just very rich.

It seems they spent most of their time working on getting the college game right, and authentic, rather than some of the bells and whistles.
That's not to say they skimped on the candy, though.
The graphics, to me, are actually superior to NBA 2k6. (I'm playing on a high-def widescreen monitor, with component inputs.) And the graphics move much, much smoother, too. ON NBA 2k6 I get slow-down with some camera angles.
Haven't noticed that at all with college hoops.

One thing I'd like them to work on for next year is crowd noise/reaction.
This is such a huuuge part of the college game, and it seems that no one has really exploited it quite to the extent possible. Crowds should get worked up according to situations, both in terms of big games and big possessions.
When Duke and Carolina play, the crowd should be more hyped than it is when Duke plays, say, Clemson.

just a few thoughts..
