Still Doesn't Work!!!

How much longer until this game will be fixed? Can somebody from 2k comment on this? I'm returning this game tomorrow if there's no word about it and getting a game that actually works - Ghost Recon. This is freaking ridiculous. All I ask is a time frame for when it'll be fixed. But that appears to be too much. A $59.99 chatroom, what a joke! This is the last game I buy from 2k for $59.99, its too big of a joke both with a defective game and pathetic customer support.

First off I'm not sure where you bought it from, but, EVERY game store I know of will not let you return an opened game for a different title.
Secondly, they have commented on it, they are aware of the problem and are working hard to solve it.
It's frustrating I know, but just relax a little.

Also, by chance are you hooked up through a router or direct connected?

I'm on direct connect. Secondly, if I can't return the defective game for a new title, I'll sell them the d a m n game and get store credit. Then buy the game that works. They can say they're working hard all they want, until they give a time frame for when it'll be fixed, I'm going to keep on complaining because its a bunch of c r a p.

I agree Cameron... I only play online and if they do not fix it by next week I am going to return my game for a full refund. My local Gamestop has tried that "we can't return an open game" **** before and I got a full refund on a defective game. I went through hoops but got it returned and will do the same for this if its not fixed.

I just spent the last 2 hours trying to get a game in... It is very frustrating and a waste of time. I stopped playing NBA2k because of similar problems where games didn't count.

Time to boycott 2ksports... I like the games but I ONLY PLAY ONLINE and purchase the games anticipating an online experience. 2ksports games are becoming a habitual bad experience online. This game should not even advertise online.

Why is the game not complete? If you want an example of a game not being complete then go waste 65 bucks on Madden.
2k is just having server issues right now, which will be fixed.

If you can't play a game online then I would say that it is not complete... I spent 2 hours tonight trying to get online and could not. Servers or not, this game came out months late and still have online issues.

We are not comparing 2K to other games. If I paid $65 on Madden and couldn't play online I would be upset with it as well. At least you CAN play and complete games with EA.

Word of mouth is powerful and the 2K series has been getting bad pub lately. I supported Segasports for many, many years but that does not excuse them to have significant problems. I use to be a diehard Madden fan before 2K series for Dreamcast and converted. 2Ksports need to at least answer to their fan base. For as long as I can remember they tend to ignore gamers request/questions. That elitist atitude won't last in this business.

I'm with next level. I only had one game unregister on me and that was yesterday. I can not complain about anything as far as online. This is technology we are dealing with and with every bit of technology there is bound to be an issue.

Seriously, i've played 20 games in 2 days. I wont be able to get on live for another half hour cuz i'm at work but i can almost guarantee that i'll be able to get on. And the only thing i'm smoking is some sweet chiba! Lol

You're one of the forunate ones. Half the people can get on and play just fine, the other half can't. Doesn't mean those that can't get online can't complain about it. Afterall, those of that can't get online paid $59.99 for essentially a chatroom.

This is not a disc problem its a server problem and everyone is having problems right now. Maybe you are getting online when the user load is low, I don't know but it is server related.

How in **** do you know what the problem is? I love when people get on a message board and start throwing nonsense while trying to pass it off as knowledge. You say I don't know the difference between online and offline, but my online VIP says I'm 20-5 with one disconnect, and that disconnect came when my Xbox360 froze up on me which happens occasionally.

Have any of you that are having problems stopped to think that maybe, just maybe it's your connection? I'm not 100% sure on this, but I believe I read somewhere that if you don't have a certain minimum speed then you can't access certain games. Perhaps this is the problem. And before you start bragging about how fast your connection is and it just can't possibly be that, remember that alot of major internet providers have peak hours when the load is high and your connection speed suffers because of this. What I'm saying is that there are probably a multitude of factors why certain people can't get online with this game, and I honestly do feel bad for you guys. I certainly wish there were more people online so I didn't have to play all these UConn bandwagoneers all the ****ed time.

Do you think 20 people in the advance lobby and 15 in the beginning lobby all have bad connections? Like I said... NOONE could play a game tonight (haven't checked lately) no matter what connection you have.

16 player Big team battle on Halo2 no lag/problems tonight.

Good luck finding more people online. At this rate peeps are giving up. There was 0 folks in the lobbies most of the night.

It isn't effecting everyone I've seen peoples record with like 20+ games in. I dunno it's weird.
I know Madden had connection issues as well if you were not direct connected, might be the same thing here, but someone said he was, so who knows.

Why don't you go try and get some recruits offline to Duke, oh wait, you can't get them d u m b a s s. Its Duke, its not hard to recruit, you can land 5 star recruits at will in that game, its not hard. Your recruiting problem can be easily solved, my and others connection problems can't be solved by us. Its up to 2k to fix it and let us, the customers, know when it'll be fixed. Mac4Lyfe has a point I was die hard sega sports fan they had the best games on the market at the time bar none! what happend they loose the nfl start making better nba games then throw 2k6 in the mix. 2ksports If you havn't finished making the game don't put it out on the market tell it ready. thats just poor biz. it like buying a car with all kinds of problems if you have to take to the shop enough time it call a lemon!!! is it not? word to the wise take some time with 2k7 give us the import draft and all the retros, second jeresys. and all the shoe from the get go. or I'm sure EA will start to hear the people and go to next level with live! well I was really hoping to play this game online during my break before I have to go back to campus, but it doesn't look like that'll be happening. It's not often for me that I have the time to just play games so I was really looking forward to it, so I'm kinda disapointed.

I was able to play 3 games in the first 2 days of release and now all of a a sudden I'm unable to connect. I can challenge, but once I connect to the other player I get a the black screen, a message and a countdown from 8 intermittently. If the other guy doesn't quit first, and I try to start a game its unregiustered immediately. Is this the EXACT same thing that's happening to everyone else?

Mine is unregistering right at, or right before the tipoff. Doesn't matter whether I challenge, get challenged, or play unranked, it doesn't work.

Same thing here... unregisters about seconds after it tries to set the tipoff.

also sometimes it will get to the tipoff (with no intros) and the ref never puts the ball in play and it just sits there indefinitely until one of us quits...

If the game is bugged online. And that is the deature you like so much. Return it show 2ksports how upset you are and return there product. Why should you pay 60 dollars for something your not happy with.

First off my dynasty mode is no more useless then your online play would be champ. There is no prize for having a good online record so it means nothing. With that said back to the main issue here stud.

If the customer support is so bad and as you said they are not telling you anything why you still have the game? Take it back return it get another game. If your waiting here for 2ksports to get back to you and help you fix your problem your gonna be waiting a long time.
