I noticed in all the new pics of the 360 ver. the helmets are still WAY TO HIGH on the head....looks soooo goofy...Why can't they pull them down a couple of inches?

The colors look awesome though..

Also I hope they fix the armband sleeve looking thing that they use now for elbo guards, to the real life looking padded ones.

But this has been an annoying thing with me for a long long LONG time....I was hoping Kush would fix it:(

Yeah, in 2K5 when some players come to the plate, the bill of the helmet is pointed so high up you can see tuffs of hair hanging down from their forehead. And it does look seriously dumb -- no reason 2K can't fix such an obvious thing, given it makes the players look like they're in little league.

eh...Larry Jones' helmet does look a little high, but he is a hick and he plays for atlanta, so what are ya goin to go...tavares' helmet looks about right though in the other screenshot

The point is, this has been a problem for SSSOOOOOO long.
It is SOOOOOO easy to fix...

I am a 3d modeler for a game company....
I can't tell you how easy this would be to fix...Compared to a lot of other things.

To me it comes down to laziness.

I want to like this Baseball series I really do....I play my xbox more then my ps2.
But MLB the show...is by far the best baseball game I've ever played.

You people that just don't want to let go and realize that every year 2kbaseball adds in all this new stuff with out fixing the basics....

Please do yourself a fav go try MLB the show.....blows the doors off of EA and Kush....

I wasn't at all going to get PS3...But I can only imagine what MLB will look like on Sony's...

Come Kush get the little things right first....then add all that other cool stuff in....It's like there games have soooo much promise then fall way short.

If you can't even get the look of a helmet on a player and what an elbow pad should look like....Doesn't look good for the rest...

Well...certainly not something I would complain about or even mention...Kind of a real chippy complaint thats more of a personal thing than global issue.

The bigger problem I see is that some of the player models all seem to have a lil spare tire around the mid section and more importantly every players body looks the same as if they used one body type to build each player...then just map the face on...Not a good look.

They havent shown 100 players, they've shown like 5 or something. So thats not a big enough number to judge the entire game by.

I agree to an extent though (not about the hick thing or the ATL crack) they should fix that even though it is a lil nit picky. Bro..I hate to burst your bubble but one look at the XBOX game tells the whole story...2K will use the same player models, game engine etc in the 360 game...They are not re-doing the artwork and player models for the 360...They might get a bit better detail on some faces but overall the Xbox game and 360 game will be identical

If you're talking to cell block, he's correct. It's clear from the 360 screens the odd-shaped player bodies are untouched: they're identical to 2K5. And thus the high batting helmets and caps -- they're untouched as well, and were in 2K5 too.

yeah...well im marlins fan...and im obliged to hate on every other team in the division...but i agree...its on nit picky side to say the helmets are too high, especially when we havent seen how the helmet sits on alot of guys heads...

I think on MLB 06 the socks look too thick. I mean the normal sock is maybe what 1/16 of an inch thick ? On MLB06 the socks clearly look to be 1/8 of an inch or thicker.

why are the testures on MLB 06 so bland compared to MLB2k6s textures, just because its not programed for the Xbox doesnt give you any excuse. OH wait a minute, It does.

So if everyone went by what you said, well Halo 3 isn't coming out and it might be a prequal..well that sucks, I won't get it because it sucks.

Its easy...2K is porting everything this year..They did it with NBA2k6...they did it with College Hoops...They did it with NHL2k6 and they are doing it once again with MLB...If you have n't figured that out by now your a little slower than I originally thought.

The game still has some of the same goofy quirkiness that it displayed last year...The batters swing like 9 year olds...Just look at their heads when they swing...No eye contact or head tracking...They seem to swing wildly.....Just looks weird. As I said earlier the player models all look a bit too chubby and they all look like the same body was used....I'm sure the game will be better than last year but that aint sayin much cause las years game was HOT GARBAGE.

2KPORTS is gonna have to do more than Cloth Physics to get me hyped for their games... Cloth Physics is their claim to fame this year (YAWN)

I don't like cell block, either. The 360 version will NOT be identical, how can you judge the player models off of only a few screens and no videos? (except the franchise one, and it doesn't show anything really). Besides, the faces look totally revamped and have been re-modelled, same for stadiums. Go away..

Probly not, but I don't really care.. I mean, it bothers me when people like him come on here saying stuff, but it is his opinion, if he wants to hate it, let him hate it. He's only hurting himself by sticking around here fussing about it..

In my opinion, I think it looks great and will be great as well, can't wait for the 24th of April! (plus baseball is starting soon, and I'm about to go crazy for the Braves season to start..).

they have already said the game will be pretty much the same as the xbox version,except the only difference probably is the 360 will have way better graphics,better player models and details to stadiums and so on.

2k games, particularly their baseball games, are pieces of dog**** and anyone who has ever watched at least 1 baseball game in their life know this. that's why baseball fans stay away from this ****ty game, the only people that buy 2k baseball games are people that don't know better and people that hate EA

Its quite funny how idiots like yourself become so offended when someone does not share your opinion or agree with you...Why post anything if all your looking for is another person to validate your own impression???

personally I think the screenshots of the game and the stadium look like garbage but its not all that disappointng to me because after a series of 2KPORTS I'm not expecting much more from 2k this year.

Some of you fools are quite the elitist to even think that your own opinion is so wildly valid that anything outside of your own opinion is crazy..Get over yourselves...If you think the game looks great...Good for you..keep feeling that way but other opinions are just that...other opinions...If you feel threatened by independant thought then a forum is the LAST place you should be. Now let me re-iterate...IMO the 2K screenshots of the game and stadium are IMO not impressive.

In terms of intelligence...well lets just say this..I'll put my sheepskin(s)/i.e. Degree's up against anyone in here...But its usually the most ignorant people that will even try to speak on intelligence as it relates to an opinion on a videogame...Kind of a contradiction of sorts

I just find it funny that so many of you are sooo blinded by what me and cell are saying...People like us, who point out all the bad stuff are the reason why games improve.

Some of you fan boys really need to get over your self's...It's quite amusing to see you jump all over that guy.

If you can't see the flaws that have plagued this series for a very long time, then what can I say, you never will.(high helmets, same body types, bad animations, hitting the ball sounds like you are firing a cannon....just to name a very few).

As I said...I'm not a big fan of EA's MVP or 2k's...I am how ever a fan of baseball and having played real baseball and watch a lot of it, I know what looks right, and what looks wrong.

So far the only game that has gotten even close is MLB "The Show"...But it also has it's share of flaws too.

But if all of you are A OK with all the flaws that make up 2k baseball then fine, it will never improve.

The whole reason I started this dumb thread was because of the **** helmets, they have never been fixed ever...The colors used to be sooo off until (I swear it) last year I made soooo many post asking the dev team to fix the teams colors that were off(Braves blue)...Because all the screen shots they were posting the colors were still off....But low and behold come release the colors were a lot closer to the real thing....True they could have planned to fix it at the very end the whole time, but I doubt it, since they made a big deal on how they wanted to let us know they read the forms...

I'm just hoping that some dev guys really do read these forms...Here's for wishing. I still plan on atleast renting if not buying the 360 ver.

You know, if you had any real smarts, you'd know how to properly troll. Because you don't gain any respect or credibility by simply smearing and hating like a mindless baboon. You have to balance your tirades with valid observations, and include a few ideas that make some sense -- even a little sense would be good. This game, like any other person, company, job, project, etc. will not succeed w/out constructive criticism. I highly doubt the developers make this game simply for their personal pleasure, so with that in mind, they (all developers of all games) better damm well care what the consumers think about their product and what needs to be improved. Whether they actually follow up with it is up to them. This game has a lot of upside, but it is far from perfect and they need to know that so they can continually imporve this game.

What would it fix if we said that everything was perfect?Take somehting that looks pretty **** good like the stadiums- If we all said that the stadiums looked great, all that would accomplish is them not worrying about it next year. If we instead said your missing the big-***** screen at Turner-that would appear to accomplish a lot more.

If we said you got Griffeys stance down pat-nothing gets fixed-if you say Griffeys swing is horrible-they might look twice at it. Again-whether they fix it is up to them and their priorities.
