View Full Version : A few must-have features for 360

These are actually not so much features, as they are upgrades over the previous versions of the game.

1) I think the batters heads should follow the ball when it is hit. In the current version, the player goes through a full swing and his head doesnt really follow the ball that well. We know it can be done, because they did it with nba 2k6.

2) The jerseys have to be perfect. They still appear as if the numbers on the uniforms are too small, i know it is a small gripe, but hopefully it will be fixed.

3) Show us where the homeruns land. If fans are jumping up to catch the ball, I want to see it.

4) Some kind of stadium intro-upgrade. I know in nba 2k6, they used the same intro for both generations. I would like to see a new one for the 360 version. Show off those graphics!

5) Finally, I think it would be cool for the teams with Mascots to actually have the mascot visible walking on the dugout or in the stands. Actually, any kind of things that would add to the ballpark-experience. Maybe have the rain-delays feature the grounds crew rolling out the tarp...and have the user be forced to watch it for 30 seconds or so...give it a real delay-feeling.

hahahahahaha...true...yeah...i really would like the those features you asked for, never thought about the mascot before, i know in nba 2k6, teams that have mascots, are in the game, like burnie for the heat is in the corner while shooting free throws, but id love to see billy the marlin running around the field like he does in real life...also good point about the crowd tryin to catch foul balls, it would be very cool to see a ton of people reaching up for fouls and homers, just make it feel real 2k, thats all i ask since you didnt include a playable minors system

Accliam put mascots in their ASB games. They would always be dancing on top of the dugouts. I always thought that was a nice little addition to the game.

Yeah I know this is a little odd but even if they could just make it a skippable feature I just wanna have it where they make the All-Star game and World Series have that pregame atmosphere where you hear the anthem and the players are introduced etc. you know something to let us know it's not just a normal game. We have been suggesting this for years but I guess its on the to do list or something. Those games make small market teams look like the Yanks or Sox or Cubbies or some other history heavy team that fans come in droves to see win or lose. I just wanna feel that in a game. 2K would definately be the first........hint hint.....ahead of the curve.....hint hint.........

no, i am not. I just read you're post and i was surprised that you would automatically think i was going to defend the game. I have nothing to say.

I've read that the crowd will have AI, so jumping for foul balls and home runs I believe will be a part of the game. If anyone else has read that please say so cause I'm only about 75% sure on this. I think Steve Bartman look-alike will be placed in Wrigley.

Crowd atmosphere would be great too. I want to know the differene between a home game vs. the Royals and a game 7 playoff game.

40 man rosters would be nice too. With real names, and decent ratings. We shouldn't have to wait a whole year to play with guys like Johima and other upcoming stars that will be playing this year.

Yeah you are right. Crowds have their own AI and there will be Bartman look alikes. They had that in the article that first released 2 360 images.

I dont know about the other two.

I’m right there with you guys, I think it would be amazing if in certain situations it gets really loud and the fans keep cheering until something big happens or there is a disappointment, then they settle down. I know they do similar stuff like this but I mean to the point where you can tell the difference in their cheering. Like a big situation down by 3 with the bases loaded in the 6th and the crowed is cheering then if you hit a homerun and it gets ever louder. Maybe even add the fans that jump around and give high fives. HAHA I know im getting carried away but I love crowed atmospheres, it can make or break a team.

i would kill for 40 man rosters, optioning minor leaguers, full minor league system, draft picks for lost free agents, etc

Yeah it's sad we know a thousand times more about baseball, real baseball, than the developers. There needs to be companies that stay strictly to sports. Yeah there's EA sports and 2K sports, but it just seems like they aren't making the game how they would want it. Heck in one of the newer pics the 3rd base ump has a face mask on....how dumb can you be????

I feel if they would put A-AAA through minor leagues with out allowing u 2play with them would be good...I kno people like to play with the minor leagues like in MVP 2005 but i dont really play the games but i do want to able to have REAL players to call up....they should just make the guy the same skin color, height, and weight and just change the names....and then we should be able to go back and just edit all the players that are not part of the MLBPA and change their names....and through the course of a franchise they should be able to get better....40 man rosters would also be very realistic

OK, I have been playing 2k baseball since way back when Sega owned the rights and called it World Series baseball ...We have come a long way from that game....anyone remember that every stadiums outfield scnery ws identical when you hit a homerun???? I am very appreciative of the graphics now but some things still are generic like the old days....One thing that really makes me mad is in the baseball games, Yankees stadium has fireworks when you hit a Long Ball!?! The only time you hear fireworks in NY is on the fourth of July over the Hudson or during a gang war in Harlem! Please for the love of christ make each stadium feel like they really do!

One other cool thing was in World Series baseball on the Saturn...before a game started, the national anthem was played and the camera flew from the outside of the stadium, thru the entrance ways and around corriders out to the field level seating! If they could do that on saturn why cant they do it now!?!

YAY for being able to argue with the umpire though! (I loved that feature in High Heat baseball)

Ok, this old man of 23 yrs has rambled enough!

Thats something that bugs be also, being the fireworks in every stadium. I mean some parks like in Anaheim, Toronto, Texas and others have them but leave them out if they dont. Its not that hard.

OH H.ELLZYEAH. That would be pretty tight to have like a view from the stands at one of those famous ballparks like Fenway, Yankee, Wrigley.....man that would be tight. They could make it for like in the tourneys when you get eliminated or you just wanna scout the other guy you could "sit in" on his/her games. Man that was a great idea fella. Then they would have no choice but to make the stadiums as accurate as possible!! **** they did it for PGR 3 they can do it for this.....I mean this is the next-gen.

That is a really good idea! I would love it. They could even tone down the voices of the spectators and we could heckle and cheer/boo for the guys playing, with the option for them to turn it off it they want.

ooo yankees fans think you are so funny. The yankees did what against the rays last year. YEs they did have two thirteen run innings but i believe a 30 million dollar team went um...9-5 against your 200 million dollar pos team:rotfl:

Dude, this isnt the "tortois and the hare" we are talking about so dont go preaching that to your children....all that matters to a yankee fan is the post season and that means the devil rays DON'T MATTER! The only thing a d-ray fan should be proud of is that they *ss ****d the Mets w/ the Scott Kazmir trade...for now!
