Anyone have a unique feature the game should have?

I would be happy if the only online feature they ever offer is the ability to upgrade your game each year via download instead of having to buy the actual disc. We gotta use our new 80 gig hard drives for something right!?! Besides, 2k would save on the cost of manufactuering discs, packaging, shipping etc....wink wink...and we could spend less out of pocket (wishful thinking!)

For one, I would like a "Feilder Cam." Not like exactly like a third person view, but more of an over the shoulder type view. I know an international baseball game did such a thing and it worked AMAZINGLY.
Second, career mode. I would love something like 24/7 but a million times more in depth. I would like to create a player and bring him up through the minors. I haven't played MLB The Show, but players of the game say it was done VERY well.

There is one feature that is in 'mlb the show' that should be in every baseball game from here on out and that is the "fast forward" option. It lets you fast forward (sim) during the game as many innings as u want or as little as 1/2 an inning. This is huge if you are like me and play an entire season.

Two words: Mascot Game.
Like the one that NCAA Football has. That would be so cool to be some of the mascots and play a game.

I would like to have a field button in which the user would have to manually force the fielder to use his glove to get a ball instead of just having the fielder run to the spot of the ball.
Basically take the dive/jump button and force the user to use it in all situations.
If you put the glove out way to early-it would slow your player down some and if you put it out to late-well you would just miss the ball.
I don't know about you all, but I like the idea of being in controll of as much of the game as possible.
In football games, there is always a catch button-why not for baseball?

I think that with the next-gen "Live enabled" games that franchises should automatically be able to be updated with all of the real-life trades and current rosters and you should'nt have to restart your franchise. That's more useful than popcorn vendors.

Several years ago, Acclaim's All-Star Baseball had an Expansion Team mode that was the most compelling game mode I've ever seen in a baseball game.
Instead of "Create a Team" where you'd replace an existing team and draft from scratch (with no protected players), the Expansion Mode mimics what actually happens when a new team is added to the league.
First of all, the computer supplies a list of 10-15 cities that are viable MLB sites. You get to pick the city, a team name and mascot, and then you get to either select or design the home ballpark. By having a pre-formatted list of several cities, team names, and ballpark designs, the game programmers could pre-program all the details in so the new team fits seamlessly into the scheduling, announcing, etc. (For example, if I select a team to add to the American (or National) League and pick San Antonio as my city of choice, the computer automatically puts me in the AL (or NL) Central and has a pre-programmed schedule creator based on one additional team in the AL (or NL) Central.)
The new team goes through an expansion draft and gets to select from the other teams' unprotected players. Each round of the draft, the existing teams get to protect more and more players, so the expansion team has to select wisely and doesn't start off with a very competitive team. (This would mimic the exact expansion drafts used by MLB in the past.) The user then plays as the expansion team in an otherwise normal franchise mode.
This mode really awakens the GM in all of us and forces you to be realistic in your approach to building up a competitor. You start from scratch and grab one or two all-star players, but having protected players limits what you can do and forces you to work your way into competitive play over a season or two (or more). This mode has the most replay value I've ever seen in a single-player mode for any sports game.

Ok..I must say that the expansion team Idea is realy kick ***! Add it with MVP (NCAA) o6's creat a stadium editor and that would be amazing...another great feature to add to this is ift anyone ever played tony La Russa baseball back in the day, it allowed you to add a team and design the uniforms and logo from the ground up! I am all hot and bothered just by the thought of a feature like this! hahaha (be scared!)
