Kings Sign Center Curtis Borchardt

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v459/jebcash/cutis.jpg

The Sacramento Kings needed a backup center, due to the fact they don't feel secure with Vitaly Potapenko. They signed two year veteran Curtis Borchardt for 1 year for $780K. Curtis, 25 years of age, is a 7 footer and an excellent rebounder.

Career Averages

Borchardt will wear #22, from his days with the Utah Jazz

Toyota Key Matchup
Mike Bibby vs. Jason Terry

I'm up 6 at the half. We came out shooting HOT from mid-range. I mean crazy hot. I mean 66% in the first half! Dallas shot 55% too! (PLUS I LOWERED THE SLIDERS A BIT FOR BOTH OF US). I'm murdering them on the boards 17-7 at the half, led by Abdur-Rahim.

Stat of the Night
The Dallas PG's didn't go nuts scoring/dishing assists. They (Terry/Harris) combined for 16 points and 11 assists. (I adjusted sliders so they shoot mid-range shots now too and the gameplay is SO MUCH BETTER/REALISTIC)

Toyota Key Matchup
Mike Bibby vs. Tony Parker

Outside of Artest (8 points, 4 rebounds) that 1st quarter was embarrassing. I shot 7-22! Luckily Artest and Miller played good defense and the team rebounded or i would be losing bad. But its 20-15 San Antonio after 1. THE WORST HALF OF BASKETBALL I HAVE EVER PLAYED. 14/42 shooting (33%). they are all good shots too. missed LAYUPS. Now we are getting outrebounded too. Duncan has 12 rebounds already! 45-32 Spurs at halftime. Huge comeback 3rd quarter! My FG% is up to 42% due to pick and rolls and put backs. Brad Miller grabbed 7 rebounds in the 3rd! He already has a double double. 65-61 Spurs after 3. Duncan and Parker DOMINATED the 4th. Wow! Duncan was getting every rebound (22!) and Parker picked up the scoring load. Ginobili hit like 3-4 open shots too. Terrible 4th quarter. They made me look like a WNBA team in the 4th.

Kings and Blazers Swap 2 For 2

http://www.nba.com/media/act_jarret_jack.jpg http://www.nba.com/media/act_ha_seung-jin.jpg

The Kings have traded guard Jason Hart and forward Jerome Moiso to the Blazers for rookie guard Jarrett Jack and second year 7'3'' center Ha Seung-Jin.

http://www.nba.com/media/playerfile/jarrett_jack.jpg #1 Jarrett Jack
The rookie out of Georgia Tech is a defensive minded guard that can make plays either passing or penetrating. He has a future in this league and will help out the Kings tremendously because of his defense that they need. They didn't get that from Jason Hart.

http://www.nba.com/media/playerfile/ha_seung-jin.jpg #5 Ha Seung-Jin
Ha may very well be the ugliest person alive :rotfl: , but is huge and can be a decent bench player down the road. He is a work in progress and he's not going to get any/much time at all behind Miller, Borchardt, and maybe even Potopenko. Look for Ha to be on the inactive list for most of, if not all of, this season.

Kings Sign Omar Cook

http://nbadraft.net/profiles/largepics/ocook01.jpg

The Kings have signed guard Omar Cook from the Fayetteville Patriots (NBDL) for 1 year at league minimum $330K. Cook is a great playmaker and very strong and well conditioned. His shot is suspect but Sac-Town needs a 3rd PG incase on injury, and Cook is their guy.

Cook was drafted 32nd overall in the 2001 NBA Draft and has career averages of 1.7 ppg and 2.1 apg in 22 games (9.7 mpg)

Toyota Key Matchup
Brad Miller vs. Yao Ming

Bonzi finally had a good start and got his scoring average in the 1st quarter, 8 points. But Yao is dominating the glass and got a few easy buckets (6 points, 7 rebounds, 1 block for Yao). 20-18 Rockets after 1. T-Mac owned the 2nd quarter and Wesley hit some shots. Artest/Bibby only have 4 points apiece, thats not good. Rockets up 43-36 at halftime. Too low scoring for me. I'm gunna put Artest at SG so he can guard T-Mac in the 2nd half. OK, T-Mac scored 10 points on Artest and Yao grabbed 5 more rebounds to give him 13 along with 11 points at the end of 3. I'm also down 16 and getting outrebounded by 8. Also, Bibby has 5 fouls! Yup, you guessed it. I lost. One Bright Spot, Omar Cook played some garbage time and got 1 point and 3 assists in 2 minutes. Jarrett Jack had 4 points and 2 assists in his Kings debut.

Kings Acquire 3-Time All-Star Antoine Walker

http://bostondirtdogs.boston.com/Headline_Archives/Celtics_5.25.jpg

The Kings have let go of Shareef Abdur-Rahim and shipped him off to Miami along with Vitaly Potapenko for Antoine Walker, Dorell Wright, and Miami's 1sr Round Pick (this year). In 3 games with the Kings this season, Abdur-Rahim averaged 10.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Potapenko did not step on the court for Sacramento this season.

http://espn-att.starwave.com/i/nba/profiles/players/65x90/3112.jpg #8 Antoine Walker
Toine holds career averages of 19.1 ppg, 8.4 rpg, and 3.9 apg and has been a part of 3 Eastern Conference All-Star team, one year in which he was voted to start. He is one of the most versatile big men in the NBA and play 3 different positions and handles the rock better than most forwards his size. With Walker on the squad, it gives them another scoring option to hopefully lift them out of the bottom 10 teams in scoring. With offensive firepower in Bibby, Walker, Miller, and Wells along with Ron Artests all around excellence on both ends of the floor with good young talent in Jarrett Jack, Kevin Martin, Francisco Garcia, Dorell Wright, and Curtis Borchardt this team could be going places.

http://espn-att.starwave.com/i/nba/profiles/players/65x90/3836.jpg #3 Dorell Wright
Wright is a great athlete and can score. His quickness and altheticism should allow him to become a decent defender as he matures.

The Kings are done dealing for a while now unless they get some sort of great offer. All I know is you better watch out for the new look Kings!

Toyota Key Matchup
Chris Bosh vs. Antoine Walker

1st quarter was very even. the only reason i'm winning by 1 is a free throw. 2nd quarter was all mine. Martin/Thomas combined for 14 points/6 rebounds while Garcia grabbed 5 boards of his own. Then in the last 2 mins, Peterson and James came back in and cut the lead down to 7 by halftime. Up 66-60 after 3. Miller is crashin the boards like mad and Bibby is pickin up his scoring him. Artest is havin an off night though, 3-11 and he even isnt shutting down Peterson. We are rebounding VERY well. Bibby dominated the 4th and we won the game big. Great win.

Hey don't talk s-h-i-t about Villanueva he has a disease that won't allow him to grow hair anywhere on his body. Also the walker trade is decent, I think getting Wright as well was big because he is a good young player with a lot of potential. Shareef is a similiar player to walker except he doesn't have a 3-point shot. I might have tried to get someone a little bit younger that is already proven or on the rise. Like channing frye and and some throw ins or david west and picks/role players.

broken leg!!! out approx. 200 days!!!

oh wait.. there's more

Mike Bibby tore his ACL in the same game (with 4 minutes left, mind you). out for 270 days

i really hope you would. i really like doing this. but the Celtics one was a freak accident and im P.O'd about it. The Kings one was also my fault for not saving and everything.. but not for the injuries. and im not about to play those games over again or start Curtis Borchardt and Jarrett Jack for the remainder of the season.

i say do the jazz, that was one of your choices before wasnt it?
i just think the jazz is a lil out of the ordinary and no one really talks about them or does associations with them...but **** maybe you already started your new one, idk

yea that is also a possibility. developing Deron Williams while having AK47, Boozer, and Okur could be a real real fun association. i'll think about it. all i know is that by tomorrow, i will have started an association (and sticking with it) with the Hawks, Jazz, or Blazers.

I can understand the whole injury thing, but if you have been following my association, I have had alot of injuries too, not as severe though. I might continue just because that is what teams have to do in real life, but if you want to start a new one it is cool. I definitely say blazers, They are a much more interesting team than the Jazz, also I thought someone had a hawks association at some point, I don't know. If you do the hawks, try to keep Smith, Johnson, Childress, Williams, Harrington, and Stoudemire together. Just my opinion
