that would be awsome to H.R.D and have people in the crowds going crazy as somebody like albert pujols hits a 500ft bomb and seeing fans jumping to try to get homerun balls what do you guys think

Don't forget the Century 21 contestants on the field rooting for their player to win the Derby so they win a house, and some of the players on the field sitting on the grass watching the balls fly out of the park, and of course have kids shagging flys in the outfield

MLB 06 had the best HR Derby I've saw on a baseball video game.
MLB 06 and MLB 06: The Show have those "L screens" on the field, some cutscene when you hit a very long flyball or you reach a certain amount of HR...
One thing they are not able to do is have some children on the fielding catching the fly balls, but I think that is because of PS2 capability.
One thing I didn't understand on The Show, was that they "cut the announcers" off on the HR Derby Mode... I don't know if they made it with a purpose or if they forgot to put it in...
I think 360 may have the power to have kids on the field since it has the power to have full 3D crowd...
Also I would like to know if they will have that "new" type of HR Derby, which each player plays for their respective country.

look at Dead Rising and see how many things are on the screen at once. the 360 is very capiable of doing something likethat.

Is there anything worse than the EA/MVP HR challenge. Lets see who can hit the ball a mile first. You can litteraly win (and I've done so) w/out hitting a HR.

I'm not sure admitting you played and completed something like that is a wise thing... ;)

Maybe I should start an "MVP HR Derby anonymous" club.

I played Triple Play Baseball for a while, so I'm in the same boat.

I don't thin k its in it this year guys. Well atleast it prolly wont be during the season as the Allstar event's should be. I just hope next year they put it in. It would be cool tho the top w/e amount of guys are in it with the most Hr's at the break get in it and you can select any you want.
