Top Spin 2 or 2k6?

Silly question:

Why didnt they decide to call it Top Spin 2k6 instead of Top Spin 2? Name association would have been better as people would have been more aware that it was a 2k sports product. I am guessing because there will not be a Top Spin every year?

i think they should do that but for their other games they have the leagues names like nba2k6 or nhl2k6. so it would have to be atp/wta2k6 but topspin2k6 wouldnt be bad

i believe since there's not much change like rosters etc in tennis, it will not have "2k" in top spin. and probably because no rosters needed to update every year, top spin 3 will not be released until 2008

The reason is that it wasn't their original product...if you remember, the first top spin game was created by Microsoft Game Studios (aka XSN Sports)...haven't you guys noticed that all the other 2ksports titles are having major flaws...nhl 2k6, mlb 2k6, etc....all the other manufacturers games work fine, the problem is the game code and the programmers...don't you guy's find it a little funny that they are recruiting new programmers on the top of their front page...enough said...i'm out
