Hey, guys. I'm new here and was looking to just get some simple, general info about MLB 2K6 for X-Box 360.

1. In MLB 2K6, can you edit player's attributes or appearances? Say for instance, I call up somebody from the minors and want to change their number to # 85 (just a random example), can you do this in 2K6? Obviously, I would also want to edit "Joe Young" on the Giants to Barry Bonds if that's possible, too. That was one of my favorite underrated features in MVP...

2. Is there any real reason this game was pushed back several times? It seems like everytime the release date is a few weeks away, it gets pushed back. Was there a problem with the game they had to fix or something? And just so I'm sure, the game is definitely coming out on April 24th, right?

3. How deep do the minor league rosters go? Is there only one level (AAA) or does it go into depth of AA and A. Also, I'm assuming that the majority of the minor leagues is made up of fake players, right? Will you be able to edit them and give them their real names. attributes, etc?

Thanks a ton for any help, guys.:)

First, all editing must be done before starting a season or franchise. You can edit any info, attribute or rating with the exception of the face. But there are literally hundreds of fake FA’s, so you can take any one of those and edit away (or create a player). 2K games are basically a tweaker’s dream come true.

There are no minor leagues, just extra players on your roster you “call up” from AAA or AA. That part of the game isn’t developed at all, and a lot of people are unhappy about it.

I’ve heard rumors as to why the game is late. But really, who knows? All I can do is urge you in the strongest possible terms not to rush out and buy the game – unless you have money top burn. Rent first, or at the very least wait a week and read as many reviews and impressions threads as possible. Last year tons of people who were looking forward to the game and who rushed out and bought it, were thoroughly disappointed and angry due to the near unplayability of 2K5. I myself almost threw it in the garbage after the first couple of hours, and I’ve never even come close to doing that before after buying a game.

Suffice it to say the 2K sports series has a history of bugs and glitches. They say they’ve fixed “most” of the problems from last year, but we’ll see. I’ve got a long list of bugs from 2K5 that I’ll be checking the moment I get my hands on the game, to see if any of them are still there.

Thanks for the quick help. The lack of minor league rosters dissapoints me...one of my favorite parts of MVP was also how deep the minor leagues were. Are the extra players that they have in 2K6 somewhat similar to last year's minor league rosters in MLB 2K5?

I'm really interested in the fact that you can edit players...that's one of the big drawing points, IMO.

I was originally planning on buying the game the day it comes out, but now I'm not sure. I've been waiting for this game for months and honestly, I can't wait to play it. I'm not one who really cares about depth as far as different game modes and features goes. If the gameplay itself is good, then I'm fine with it. I personally liked 2K5 last year except for a few parts which they seemed to have fixed, but MVP just had so much more to offer than any of the other baseball games on the market.

Thanks again for all your help.

From all indications. Certainly there's been no info to suggest otherwise.

Yeah, I probably spend more time editing than playing. I did get 2K5 to work okay after weeks of editing, and actually played that game more than any sports game I've ever played, by far. I'm still playing it a year later.

And as for 2K6, I have a sense it'll be a decent if not pretty good game. I'm just not going to rush out and buy it until a few days have passed and I've read some user reviews. Games are getting too expensive for that.
