Interesting information, that a friend compiled:
It took a bit of sorting through old transaction
records, but here is the team Milbury has traded away
since he became GM on Dec. 12, 1995:
Four forward lines:
Ziggy Palffy, Todd Bertuzzi, Martin Straka
Brian Smolinski, Trevor Linden, Brad Isbister
Tim Connolly, Claude Lapointe, Robert Reichel
Jan Hlavac, Olli Jokinen, Sergei Nemchinov
(honourable mentions: a young-ish Kirk Muller in 1996,
a second-overall pick that became Jason Spezza)
Six defencemen:
Wade Redden, Matthew Schneider
Darius Kasparitis, Bryan McCabe
Eric Brewer, Zdeno Chara
(honourable mentions: Bryan Berard with both eyes,
Scott Lachance)
Two goalies:
Roberto Luongo, Tommy Salo
(honourable mentions: Kevin Weekes, Chris Osgoode)
There are a few old guys sprinkled in there, but the
majority have many productive years ahead of them.
Think that team could win a cup?
