Major Freezing Problem?

Hi,

I have had Top Spin 2 for XBOX 360 for about 2 weeks now and I've loved it! I did, however, run into a problem about two days ago. The problem is, keep in mind this is about my 3rd season of my created player, when I try and play the first Slam of the year (Australian Open) it will go to the loading screen, after about 15-20 seconds the music stops but the animation keeps going, and it remains like this until you turn off/reset the system? Ok, so I thought maybe it's just this tournament (being the section of my disc that may not be completely clean, even though I cleaned it multiple times) so I skipped this week and tried the next tournament, same result. I did that for four more weeks with the same result. What is going on? I just bought MLB 2k6 and it froze randomly in the 4th inning (although it only did that once and hasn't done it since) I believe this to be some sort of 2k sports issue, can someone please help? I really want to continue my career and move up from rank 2 to 1! :)

I GOT TOP SPIN2 ABOUT FOUR DAYS AGO AND IT WAS COMING TO THE LAST TOURNEY OF MY SEASON AND IT STARTED FREEZING. I HAD NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM BEFORE I GOT TOP SPIN. AFTER THIS IT STARTED CRASHING ALL THE TIME SO I RANG MICROSOFT TO ENQUIRE THEY ARE NOW GOING TO GET IT FIXED BUT THEY DID SAY THE PROBLEM WASNT RELATED TO 2K SPORTS,

SOund like your xbox is faulty to me and not the game. If your having problem in multiple games make sure the xbox is well ventelated and not sitting on any other appliances.

I'm from europe and i've the same problem :(. i'm although in the 3rd season and i was looking forward to play for 5.000.000 dollar against a secret player, because a rich one wished. when i'm done with my opponent there is the loading screen that my carreer will be updatet but nothing happens. the background sound goes on. i also tried to skip this day but it didn't work. screen froze again :(. so please fix it 2K! i am a young player and want to reach much :(

yeah mine's freezing as well. i called up tech support a couple of times and we walked through various scenarios but none of them helped. i exchanged my copy of the game for a new one, but same deal. it seems to be freezing when it's updating the save file, but it doesn't corrupt the save when you shut down the system, so i'd say that it's probably hitting some sort of exception when it's trying to access the filesystem... i hope that they fix this soon. i've been waiting for weeks for 2k sports to say something about the problem, or at least acknowledge it and state the current status of a fix, but nothing as of yet...

I'm having the same and annoying problem.

On the week of Oct 15, I can play the 5 000 000 $ awards match (and Open de France if I remember). Yesterday, I play twice the match (one win, one loss), impossible to save. I also try to do the open (winned), impossible to save. Also impossible to switch the week.

Today, I succeed on leaving the week but the issue is still here !! Impossible to save my carreer.

I tried to changed my hair and I succeeded on saving the carreer !!

Please help !!!!!!!!!!!

I guess we are all having the same kind of problem. Mine happens at the same point every time, I tried more ventilation, I went and bought a brand new game of Topspin 2, and it still happens.

It happens once I have played the Countries tournament to the final, and win the first two matches, and when I win the third, it shows the stats fine, but then goes into "updating career" popup and the game freezes there. I mean freezes, nothing works, not the controller, nothing. I have to manually get up and switch the machine on or off by the power button. :( PS : Apart from this problem I love the game.

I have experienced this same problem from the beginning with TS2. Has 2k ever issued any kind of statement about this problem that many xbox 360 gamers experience?

This freeze up problem has really put me off the game. It's so annoying and can happen at any time. You always lose everything you've done since you last saved.

I'm actually thinking of picking up a copy of TS1 just to avoid this problem.
