XBOX LIVE PROBLEM PLEASE HELP!!!

Help why can i not logon....I go through all the steps and it gets to a point were it says..retreveing VIP profile.....Please wait.....and thats it....it just stops....i have to rebot my xbox......this suck i want to play online....please help....

hmm.. sorry to hear that. I have heard people have had problems with their games freezing but I never heard of it freezing there. I myself haven't had the game freeze once and everything has worked perfect so far for me. Then again my x-box is only about 6 months old.

Best of luck but if I had to guess I would say get an xbox cleaner set or DVD reader and run a DVD cleaner through it.

they told me to get a new game....took it back to gamestop and it still doesnt work.....mad

here is the solution to your problem sir.......go to your xbox dashboard and delete all MLB2k6 and 2k5 files you have. Then put your mlb2k6 game back in and when it asks you to create a profile at first, dont make it the same as your gamertag(in other words use any other name besides your gamertag.....i just left it saying vip1 or whatever the default is). Then you will be able to play online.

That is correct had this same problem and just changed my VIP name to something different than my gamer tag.

I deleted my profile and rebooted my xbox and just used Vip1 or whatever the default Vip was and i had no problems after that with online play.

I had the same problem too, having just bought my copy of 2K6 the other day. Thanks very much for the advice.
