How come I am unable to play online, CAN SOMEONE HELP ME!!

When I try to do a quick match or even send someone a challenge it comes back stating that the game could not be started and that i need to refer to the Online FAQ or the 2k sports web site for more info on the topic. Can someone please help me, i have registered the game and everything i am running out of ideas and it is getting frustrating please leave a post.

Are you running directly from your modem?

1. If you are running from your modem, if you send the challenge and it tells you that, have the person send a challenge back and the majority of the time it works.

2. If you are running through a router, it may be that your connection is firewalled or that the other person may be running through a router that does not connect to yours, usually do to firewall.

NOTE: Look at a players ping, if it is green then you will be able to play them. Just because it's red doesn't mean you cannot connect. If you challenge a player with green ping and it gives you a problem, have him/her send you the challenge back.

i am haveing a problem when i play in my league with my 5 brothers. some of my games say network problem halfway thru them. it only happens to me out of 10 games i play i say i t happen 4 times. if any one knows what is up please let me know.
