Where are the Sox?

mikeortank

Behind the Yankees like usual !!
Why where do you think there going to be?

(Remember these are my projections , I think the Sox have a great team but Pedro and Schilling are not going to play up to expectations)

How do you think its going to end up ?

I agree with all but AL East-Sox Wildcard-Yankees

If Schilling and Pedro arent really done , then yes they could take 1st easily !!

Look at Pedro last year against the A's and Yankees , he was not the same Pedro (I know because I use to bet him whenever he pitched)

and Schilling is getting old and last year was a sign that Bob Brenly (dont know if I spelled that right) used Schilling and Johnson WAY to much over the years.

But you got to admit the Yankees have the sickest lineup in baseball. (this is coming from an A's fan who hates the Yankees)

Yeah, me and you have common ground in hating the Yankees. I agree though, if Pedro and Schilling dont stay healthy they are possibly done. The Sox did still do pretty well last year when pedro was out for about a month. Also the Sox need to watch injuries like Nomah and Nixon. I will admit one thing(hard for me to do) Yankees do have the best lineup

Klesko, Giles, Nevin (if he stays healthy), Hernandez and Burroughs to supply the offense, no other NL West team has that offense besides the Rockies who are beat up and have no pitching. Padres also got Long, not awesome, but gets the job done.

Wells, Lawernce and Peavy are all capable of all winning 15+ if they keep it together and also stay healthy. Plus Hoffman is back, hes the best modern day relief pitcher besides Rivera. When hes healthy...

Yes, the Padres can take the West...

Mariners in 2006
March 21st, 2004, 07:18 PM
Giants, also a good pick...BUT, Schmidt cant do all the work, Rueter and Tomko arent all that good and I dont know if Nen will be back to his regular form...

The offense has fallen apart, while San Diegos has grown, Bonds and Alfonso are good, but Pieryznski and Snow are iffy...

AL
East: New York: just too much offense for the sox.
Central: KC Royals: weakest division IMO.
West: Anaheim: Vlad and Bartolo were the two best free agents in the offseason plus they also got Jose Guillen. Pitching is a ? though.

NL
East: Florida: great looking pitching staff.
Central: Cubs: best starting pitching in the league
West: D-Backs: surprise! Unit will be back pitching good again.

You know, you all are putting the Rockies dead last in the NL West.

Colorado will be the team to surprise everyone and win the NL West, (at least the wild card).

Alright, the pitching isn't the best, Estes is the starter for tuesdays game against the Diamondbacks. but when you are behind one of the best, if not the BEST offenses in the National League, and maybe the Majors, (In my opinion) Helton (a hit away from the batting title in 2003) Wilson (Most RBIs in 2003) Walker (Due for a breakout season like 99 when he won the batting title, unless he stays hurt of course) Castilla (who will hit 25+ HRs this year) Burnitz (Huge Power) Johnson (hit .357 in spring training) then your pitchers can give up 4-6 runs a game and be fine.

And their defense isn't to shabby either.

Be prepared to be surprised in 2004
