Try this, it worked for me. Delete all your MLB 2k files from your xbox dashboard memory. Then put your MLB 2k6 game in, and when it asks you to create a profile(or vip or whatever it asks) leave it saying VIP 1. So dont change the name, leave it saying vip1(or whatever the default name is). That should fix a lot of peoples problems with playing online(It fixed mine). I took the game back and everything before I got a returned email from the tech support of 2k.
