It appears that once you turn your system off, you're screwed if your copy is destined for suckitude.

Just thought you would like to know... Just returned from the store where I had to purchase an MU. The guy behind the counter told me that 2K Sports emailed all retailers today stating that they are not alound to except returns or exchanges for the new 2K Baseball game. Their solution so far is to either purchase an MU or wait until a patch becomes available.

May as well just make that a new thread instead of posting it in all of them.

After sending my core unit back to ms twice shortly after the system launched I recieved a new system with the hard drive free of charge. I no longer really had any use for the memory card and forgot about it. Well after picking up mlb2k6 I found it impossible to get through a single game. The farthest I got was the fifth inning. Reformatting my hd was not an option b/c I didn't want to lose everything, especially Oblivion! So I decided to remove my hd and insert my memory card while playing 2k6. I've gotten through 6 season games so far without a problem. I hope this helps someone. (the only other 2k game on my hd is nba 2k6 which I've not had any problems with.)

well i have tried exchanging my copy ( did it 4 times ) @ my local eb. i have the core w/harddrive. every copy froze. tried taking off the highlights,etc.....still froze after a homerun or during an inning. so i gave up and bought a mem card. i saved my vip, career, created player, roster to it and can play fine w/it ...just take off all the instant replays,highlights,etc....anything that might bringup a replay..you will play fine. sad this has to be this way till a patch comes...for $65.00 + $20 for the used mem card it better. Take this as a help guide for all having the freezing, for those who do not have freezing, your spared for now or just got a gd copy. Now for 2k.....you have heard our pleas, game stores know that the games are flawed,........all i can say for you is ( The Ball is in Your Court ....don't drop it ).

I have had two copies of this game so far. I could never get past the 4th inning. 1 time it even froze after 1/2 inning. Today i moved everything to my memory card and formatted the hard drive. I now keep all my mlb 2k6 game files on the memory card and it is working just fine.
