Thanks to the person that came up with this way we can now play MLB 2k6 with NO freezing. NO MU OR RE-FORMATTING REQUIRED!

HERE IS THE STEPS ...I PROMISED THIS WOKED GUYS...ONCE YOU TRY THIS AND IT WORKS PLEASE GO AHEAD AND GIVE THIS TO OTHERS.

ITS THE CACHE MEMORY GUYS

ONCE THAT BAD ONE LOADS INTO YOUR CACHE MEMORY YOU GO OUT AND EXCHANGE IT AND YOU THE NEW ONE ACCESS THAT CACHE MEMORY IT CRASHES AGE. YOU THINK YOU HAVE ANOTHER BAD DISK WHEN IN FACT IT'S PROBABLY ISN'T .

WHAT YOU DO IS ERASE THE MLB SAVE FILES AND VIP FILES FIRST. 2. PUT IN MLB AND CREATE A VIP. 3 PICK A GAME AND LET IT PLAY INTIL IT FREEZES. 4 EJECT THE DISK AND PLACE IN THE XBOX AT LEAST 4-5 DIFFERENT GAMES OR DEMO DISK (ALLOWING THEM TO BOOT UP TO THE MAIN MENU SCRREN, ALLOW THIS FOR EACH OF THE GAMES). tHEN PUT BACK IN MLB AND PLAY ANOTHER GAME . THIS TIME IT SHOULD NOT FREEZE...BUT THIS IS THE KEY ..ONCE THE GAME HAS COMPLETE GONE THRU THE EITHER GAME ( 6 ININGS AT LEAST) THEN SAVE THE VIP FILE AGAIN AFTER YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE GAME. BAM..YOU CAN PLAY IT NOW WITHOUT HANG UP.

I HAVE TO ADMIT I DIDN'T THINK THIS WOULD WORK BUT IT DID. PLEASE GIVE IT A SHOT. I KNOW YOU TIRED OF HEARING ALL THESE OTHER FIXES THAT DIDN'T WORK ..THIS ONE DOES. I'VE HAD IT PLAYING FOR AT LEAST 3 HOUR STRIGHT WITH NO HANG UP . PASS IT ON ONCE YOU FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF.

if you only have 2 games just keep alternating them back and forth

Also:

You dont need to put in 4-5 discs in your xbox to clear the cache...Just use Oblivion if you got it..

Oblivion uses the Xbox 360 hard drive extensively to cache (copy and reuse) game data. This is done to optimize all loading the game does. It has been found in rare cases on some Xbox 360s that the cached data can get overly fragmented. This exhibits itself by the game taking a long time to load anything from menus, dialogue, sounds, objects, levels, and more.

To solve this problem, reset your Xbox, and hold down the A button as the game is booting up. If any button is held while Oblivion is loading, it will clear its hard drive cache, and create a new one.

I have Oblivion and have cleared the cache for that numerous times. Did it for 2k6 too with no obvious results.
