What will 2K do to apease us?
Me? I'm mad as ****! I bought the game the day before the long weekend to have something to do over Easter. I had plans, man. This is currently the only game I have! Now, I need to go out and rent games in order to use my console.
If it's 2K's fault - do something to apease us! If it's Microsoft's fault do something to apease us! Then go after Microsoft. Give a free download of an arcade game or something.
The thing that bothers me the most - no warning on the front page about the problems with the game. If you warn people, they could not save the VIP or use a different device otehr than the HDD for saving games.
What about those people who go out and buy cards in order to use the game? I'm about that desparate!
Give us something folks. A hard date for a fix would be nice. An apology would even help for the short-term!

I feel you. I'd settle right now for some answers. No matter who you call, you get none. This title needs to be fixed soon or recalled. I'd like my money back if I have to wait, but no one will give you your money back. Only allow you to exchange it for the same game since it has been opened. I want my money back. I didn't buy a game to wait to play it. They should have left the release date at the 24th.

blah, blah, blah......nothing new....no update.....tell us what has caused the problem. Tell us when you think it might actually be fixed.....tell us something, not the same old same old.....I'm sick to death of this cr ap from 2k mods. Someone needs to give us some answers. Let us know how big of a fix it is. Give us a time frame. Allow us to be refunded our money if we want to. 2K hasn't even told retailers to pull the game. I work at a Circuit City and the only reason the game was pulled from our selves was because I work there and knew about the problem. 2k is screwing us here and people just want to take it.

Near-future means exactly what near-future means. I understand it is vague, but technical problems and their fixes are not given timelines. They are worked on non-stop until they are fixed and then a solution is given to all affected customers.

That's it... tell 'em that, they'll believe it. After all, they bought the game.... Yeah right, I'm a developer. There has been plenty enough days to figure out what the problem is and as soon as that's known... the next question by everyone's boss is how long. So I know there is some type of internal projection... we need some of this information.

Question: Why hasn't 2K offered full refunds for anyone who purchased the game in the past week, and is unhappy with their product? THAT'S what it all comes down to. That's the bottomline here.
Answer: $$$. THAT'S where their concern lies, and NOT with their "valued customers".

again, we want answers. The very near future means something to you but something else to me. I've told this to the folks at your corp offices. Now, defend 2k all you want. They owe the gamers who bought this piece of cr ap. They need to tell retailers to pull it from the shelves, but aren't. More people are buying this game and nothing is being done. This fix needs to be here sooner than later.
I think 2k owes us money or something. 20 bucks back or something. We deserve better and having Mods in SE Tennessee doesn't make me feel any easier about this. I know you're not a devolper. You're just a fanboy made into a mod.

Same problem, same company, same lame company line. I was burned on NHL 2k6 for my Xbox 360 by these bums. Freezing / Locking up, all they did was blame the 360 and me while keeping my $59.99. I was ****ed, so I began my boycott of this second rate company. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against 2K Sports, and I suggest each and everyone of you do the same. They obviously have some serious quality issues within 2k Sports. I heard NBA froze up as well, so I did not buy it, now this. Hopefully you guys fair better than us Hockey suckers, still out my $59.99 for a game that freezes more than the ice in the rink.

I haven't finished one game offline yet. I tried countless amount of times and it always freezes. Freezes around Innings 1-3. The farthest I have gotten was the top of the 8th, other than that nothing past the 3rd inning. I played one game online and it is soooooooooo laggy. I will return this if it doesn't stop freezing in the next 2 or 3 days. This Sucks, I was really looking forward to this game.

how about this...how about since you don't work for 2k and you don't know what's happening internally you don't jump to conclusions and say they aren't working 24/7 when they in all probability are. Who made you guys the know all end all when it comes to the workings of 2k. How do you know that at this very moment they aren't working on a patch?
On the flip side before you even ask me how do you know they are working on it I freely admit i don't. However if I can't play a video game i either go do something else or play a different game. I don't base my life on playing a game. So again you have 2 choices, sit there ****ed off and wait for the fix, or sit there patiently and wait for a fix.
The people who act like jerks towards people in tech support make them care about 100% less than they would if you were decent and acted maturely when you speak to them. If it is flipped think how you would respond in that situation.

So, people complaining about a poor product to those whom created it it makes them not fix the problem? **Blank stare**
I think it's been adaquately displayed by 2K in these forums that this is not a top priority for them. It is this impression that leads one to believe they are not working endlessly on this problem, else this would have been solved already.
I never said my opinion was gold, or needed to be accepted as truth. My opinions are just that, my opinions, and I am free to express them should I so desire. I am not being rude about it. I am not calling 2K and the devs every 5 minutes to complain. I am sitting here, for a couple hours, hoping they post SOMETHING relevant so i can go play my 2k6 without lockups and in the meantime, offering my opinions and dark humor where I choose. I have the right to do so, and will continue to do so until a fix presents itself. Then, it'll be unlikely I return to these boards and post so much because I will have no need for it.

I feel that if 2K was working 24/7 on this fix they would be more than willing to share that with everyone here officially. I do believe that they have to consider this a crisis situation however and are in all probability putting in more effort to get it resolved. The question remains "are they putting in enough effort?"
It is the companys own fault for these conclusions because of the lack of communication with the public. Get a PR person for crying out loud for this will be the best investment this company could ever make. They need some quality damage control.

Hankscorpio i am guessing you work in the technology field? Anyone who works in that field realizes that unfortunatly it takes time to fix a major issue like this.
Jon you can't just snap your fingers and its fixed. Think of it this way how long does it take the programmers to program these games? Now since they might not even know where the issue is coming from they have to scan through the thousands of lines of code and find it. Once they find it they have to figure out what is causing it. That is IF the code is causing it.
the game came out tuesday, a fix being out in 3 days just isnt' gonna happen. I remember when Doom 3 came out the ATI drivers out wouldn't run it without crashing on certain machines, mine included. I had to wait for 10 bussiness days (2 full weeks) for an updated driver.
Point here is that if you actually had an idea what went into making a game you wouldn't be complaining.

What I want to hear from 2KSports or the developers or from "Blue Lightening" is that no aint go no problem Jules, I'm on the ***********, Chill them ****** out and wait for the Wolfe who should be coming directly.
In all seriousness, we want --- or at least I WANT, to know that there WILL be a solution that will allow people who paid $59.99 (plus tax) for this game to play it and enjoy it WITHOUT freezes or glitches.
We simply want what we paid for and want to be informed that we will get it and some sort of information about a time table for how long that that will take, regardless of how vauge that time table is.
I don't think that that is asking too much.
And one of the other posters was 100% correct.
You should have absolutely kept the release date the 24th.
That way maybe this whole debacle could have been avoided.
I know what solution that I want.
I want new disks to be manufactured.
One new disk for each disk sold.
I want the new disk to be the game free of bugs.
I want the new disk to have more frequent cut scenes and I want the graphics to be better like we all thought that they would be.
I want the annoying AI glitches fixed.
I want the wild pitch issue corrected.
I want it to work whether you play on or offline and whether you use a card or a HDD.
In short, I want the game we all thought we were paying 60 dollars for while we watched people play 39.99 for the same game on other consoles.
I want these disks to be sent to EBGames and GameStop and GameCrazy and ToysRUs and Best Buy and Wal-Mart and Circuit City and where ever else and anyone who can prove they purchased the game there should bring in their old game disk to be swapped out for one of the new ones and at the end of the quarter, these stores can ship you back all you defective disks in a postage paid box.
You should foot the bill for all the disks and the shipping and while you are at, update the rosters before you make the new disks.
And every customer who has had to deal with this **** should be given a certificate that will allow them to purchase any other 2KSports game now or any 2KSports game that will be coming out in the next year for at least 50% off to compensate us for all of our unecessary hassle because you people cannot be bothered to do your job right and we've all had to suffer for it....

I have an HDD and a memory unit and I tried detaching the HDD and just using the memory unit and THAT DOES NOT FIX THE FREEZE PROBLEM.
I'm sure it does for many people but NOT EVERYONE.
And I do have more than one game, but I want one baseball game that WORKS.

It DOES NOT WORK.

Your first problem is you have a user name after a team. The second is your team is the Yanks. Your 360 probably came out of Seattle with a Seattle chip that states they hate the Yanks and any fan with the name Yanks games should freeze. My game froze when I had the HDD it. Every game I bought for the 360 cost $60. Did you try detaching your HDD? Try playing it as a core system see if it works. Stop your crying put in one of your other games and play. How about even getting some of your friends together and play the game yourself or can you only push buttons?? How about you call your boy Jeter and ask him why is he the coverboy for a corrupt game!!!!

Thank you. I appreciate the update. I think it might be prudent, however, if the sticky post was updates once a day I think we would all appreciate that. Also, if anyone knows if 2k is going to work to make the XBOX version of 2k6 playable on the 360, 'cause I might just get that. I'm playing it over at my friend's place on the XBOX, and some of the roster mistakes aren't there...like the big one for me: Red Sox away jersey saying "Red Sox" instead of "Boston"
Thanks again.

If they really didn't know there was a problem, they are morons. Complete and utter morons. After what happened to NHL2k6 they should have OVER tested this game, and if they didn't, they are *******es. Since I refuse to believe they did not test this game, it is my understanding, logically, that they did test, and knew there was a problem. Yet, they still released the game. Bad move, but, I can understand it. Logically (ah, logic again, no one uses it anymore), if they knew about it, they would be working on a fix immediately. If they were aware of the problem, as they claimed, it has been MORE than the almost 5 days now. It's only been five days because that's when the public got the game and complained. I GUARANTEE they've been working on a patch for at LEAST 2 weeks.
So, dare I say it again? They've taken too long and this should already be fixed. Ergo, this is not a top priority for them.
To quote a pretty amuzing fellow, "Logic. Try it some time. You may find you like it."

I hear you Jon1498, I was one of the "victims" of the NHL2K6 "crime". It is so funny to see the reaction to this situation compared to the one in NHL. All the buzzing over this and they never even acknowledged the problem with the NHL game. Instead the completely ignored it and it was almost the same problem.
I want to know how they could justify releasing this game early, it wasnt supposed to come out for another two weeks. They couldnt fix all these problems if they had another 2 months. If this was any other industry they would be hauled out of there offices in shackles. But no one in government cares about the gaming industry unless they feel content is warping the fragile minds of America's youth.
With how big product placement and advertising has gotten in the gaming industry, how do the companies who advertise in this game feel about this kind of sham?

if you actually read the post that you replied to I said:
"I have an HDD and a memory unit and I tried detaching the HDD and just using the memory unit and THAT DOES NOT FIX THE FREEZE PROBLEM.
I'm sure it does for many people but NOT EVERYONE.
And I do have more than one game, but I want one baseball game that WORKS.
This one DOES NOT.
With or without the HDD.
It DOES NOT WORK."
what that means is that I tried detaching my HDD and playing it as a core system.
what team I like is not the issue.
You are a ****ing moron....
Poor baby 2005NYYanks. Go find one of your friends who system it works on and have a sleep over and you can wear the nighties with the cute feet. Maybe their mom will bake you some cookies also.

Jon how about the fact that the gold version of the discs sent to the reviewers never EVER locked up? therefore its not the programming.

Am I the only person on this forum not having problem with game freezing and what not? I have played countless numbers of games, HRD, Tourney and my game has yet to freeze up. I bought my copy for the PS2 the day after it came out. I bought another copy for my PSP earlier today. I have not had either version freeze up.
I feel lonely :(
