Well I remformatted my hard drive about a week ago...played about 10 games in franchise mode...now everytime I try to play it freezes in the intro scenes...it goes thru the hadball central thing..out to the ball park..but then you hear the disc drive quit spinning and about 20 secs later it freezes up...So I thought maybe something was wrong with my 360...put in nhl 2k6...played a whole game fine...so now I'm lost...have now clue whats causing it or what to try...

I think your post is proof of the absolute ignorance that is flying around here. Yes, 2K gave us a very defective game, and yes we deserve to be frustrated. But, you reformatted the hardrive. The two suggestions from 2K don't include reformatting your hard drive. Instead of taking the time to research the problem, you choose a rumored quick fix and are upset because it didn't work. A would put you in the same category of those who played this game for 10 minutes and rushed back to these boards to rip the game with idiotic post like the one I am currently replying to.

Sorry to tell you but I would be $1 mill that this issue is your box and has nothing to do with the game. Sounds like the drive is jacked. exactly what my friends box was doing. the drive stops and freezes up and it was a defective xbox.

Same issue happened to me, and after trying several things I took a close look at the disk and noticed to very small scratches, was able to buff those out and now the game is once again playing fine. This is the second disk my 360 has put small scratches on for whatever reason, and I found that the 360 is very sensitive to dirty or scratched disks, even a finger print will cause a game to not function proper at least on my 360. So for those that are trying the Temp fix and are having freeze on into screen or other areas I suggest you have a close look at your disk to make sure it is clean and scratch free.

I reformatted the hard drive a week ago...2k didn't have a solution a week ago...Don't know about you..but I don't care to spend $60 for a fancy case to wait a week while they give us some solution...

Mine froze one time while I was playing, I reformatted and it worked for me.

So I wouldn't say it doesn't work, it did work for me.

Of course maybe I got one of the good games released, I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

The thing is we shouldn't have to pull any kind of tricks to get the game to work. Mine freezes after the first half inning.

You know what? All these People out here who is always criticizing someone because they post that something is wrong with mlb, has issues. Maybe they have bill gates money that they can throw around. and keep spending $60 on games that FREEZES UP!!!!. But some people dont like me,if all of you that keep making fun at this situation had any morals give us a break. Because its not cool to wait for a game to come out then u pay $60 or more for it to freeze up. This game was suppose to be released april 24, but they rushed it to come out and look at the problems!!!. So for all you criticizers who keep making fun of the gamers who r complaining about the freezing, GET A LIFE

Hey Islandhitman,
I've been frozen for 3 or 4 days, I tried everything, nothing worked for me. Then I read
your post and sure enough I had some bad scratches. I buffed my disk and like magic I'm playing ball again! I'm so happy I took your advice!

Thanks Buddy!

mine used to freeze, but now it plays fine. i never reformatted my hdd. i never tried any of these fixes that 2k put up. i simply deleted my vip profile, and never made a new one. i am about 30 games into the season, and have had no problems.(knock on wood). who would format the hd to try and play a game? no way would i part with all my saves.

The only ignorance is people like you denying the obvious flaws with these games.

The game crashes...end of story. Your post is the idiotic one. We all should be very upset with flaws like this.
