I like the game, BUT they got a loooot of work to do. Not only did they not address some of the old problems, but they got new probs as well. I like the little nuances i.e. inside edge, break point pitching. I dislike the fielding and hitting. Besides that awful hesitation the "super fielders have only been contained, because everybody STILL catches everything whether it be a dive or a robbed homerun. You'll NEVER see them drop a ball (even with the slider turned up) and if they do it is an error. I'm sick and tired of the cartoon speed the computer uses on defense to get to fly balls. The hitting has it's issues also. There is NOTHING pure about the motion or the physics. There are STILL batters that swing EARLY on 101 mph fastballs and late on curveballs. Unless to mess (REALLY MESS) with the sliders batters don't react for real. For the most part you pull pitches you are early on and go-the-other-way on pitches you are late on. I've seen TOOO many 95+ mph fastballs getting pulled foul when the batter should have either 1) broke his bat 2) foul tipped the ball or 3) hit a dribbler. Whatever happen to foul tips where the catcher would catch it and the batter would be called out?

umm. If you are early on a swing you will pull it, late you will hit the other way.

That's the simplest mechanic in hitting, and it is possible to be late on a curve ball, not even late, curveballs (unless it's a hanger) you actually want to hit to the opposite field if it is breaking away from you (that's also basic hitting instruction).

I agree we need some fould straight back and some other variety, but the other "issues" you described are just basic baseball.

A rigthy up to bat with a man on first is supposed to try to hit it to the right by slapping, swing late, keeping the hands way ahead of the bat. Not sure why you see early and late as a flaw

My fault let me clarify my friend.

First one of the hardest pitches to hit is the 4seam fastball high and inside. The only reason you would pull this or any pitch is if you were to swing early and when I say pull I mean into the stands behind the dugout. No one swings early on a 95+ mph fastball high and inside. When I look at the replay the ball was almost hitting the batters hand and he didn't even get an early swing either.

Second yes it is possible to swing late on a curve ball, but MOST of the time you don't because you are looking for a fastball so you swing early while you either swing over it and in some cases under it.

Third all the other cases are NOT basic baseball. Everyone catching every ball hit to them and never dropping them is basic? Outfielders going from 0-50 mph in 1 second ( like old black & white baseball footage of Babe Ruth) is basic? I don't think so my friend.

Having a righty hit the ball to rightfield with a man on first is not a rule that is set in stone. You have to take it on a case by case basis.

Basically what I was trying to say is that the pure motion physics were not pure or realistic. That's just the tip of the iceberg! This game has a heep of problems in every aspect!
