Hey, how about another update that actually tells us something? I say give me the patch by the end of the day or give me my money back

Wow you people are impatient. 2K has given an update on Saturday yesterday was a HOLIDAY so just wait. I'm sure they'll give another update soon and maybe a patch. If you want your money back just go and return it and get over on the EA Sports forums.

Wow you people are impatient. 2K has given an update on Saturday yesterday was a HOLIDAY so just wait. I'm sure they'll give another update soon and maybe a patch. If you want your money back just go and return it and get over on the EA Sports forums.
You got your game to work with the bogus workaround, I didn't. I didn't spend $60 to be a game tester. Those jobs get paid, not pay to do. The update wasn't any news. You want to call me an EA fanboy, but I'm not. And I can't get my money back. They only allow you to swap it for the SAME FAULTY GAME!
I don't call this impatient. I call this wanting what I paid for. They screwed up. They should give up their holiday since they screwed up. I didn't. Going to EA's forums does me no good. I want this game. I want it to work. One week is more than enough time to fix their screw up.
60 bucks for an unplayable game. That isn't fair and I for one won't sit back. I think a daily update isn't too much to ask. You can blindly except the fact they didn't do enough testing on this game and released a defective product. Some of us don't. I would at least like the right to return my game and get my money back. I would repurchase the game once 2k got off its butt and made it playable, but I can't. Why? Because 2k told retailers not to refund money on this game. Have they pulled the game from stores? No. Addressing the issue here after we've already been screwed isn't enough.
I've called their corp offices and I was please with those I spoke to but answers are hard to come by. Many others and myself feel cheated and feel we are owed something for this screwjob. I've said I'd like an update. If you think that is too much to ask for than keep it to yourself. We didn't get the BS workarounds to work so we still CANNOT PLAY OUR GAME! I think you'd be pretty upset too.
So again, don't just tell me to go to the EA forums when I made no mention of EA in my post. You brought them up, I didn't. I won't say EA would handle this any better because I don't know. I've never bought a game from them that did this. I've never bought a game from 2k that did this before this one.
Stop trying to discredit my anger with your labels. I have every right to be upset. I have every right to want something. I can't get anything. One update in a week is absurd. We need daily updates. We need a timeframe and most importantly, we need, at the very least, the option to return this game. If I buy a faulty TV I can return if for a refund, but with a game I can't. 2k knows this game is faulty, but instead of letting me get a refund they tell retailers not to. Instead of pulling this game off the shelves they allow it to keep being sold.
Again, I have every right to be upset. If the workaround hadn't worked for you, you'd be right behind me. Instead you're back to being in love with 2k even though you were used as a game tester for them.

I agree jfair. My store is being ****py about it, i understand store policy and all but this is a "known" widespread problem, you would think they would give you some leinency, I was nice with the guy and said I'll even tak store credit so you know you are getting my business.
It was not until the 10 minute discussion where he repeatedly only gave me the option to return it for MLB but was willing to exchange for another 360 game, "I said if there are no other games out I want, but if you can give me an exchange why not store credit? "
I'm baffled on some of the stores policies in this situation. Sometimes a little bid of judgement needs to be used

Nicely said jfair_75, I agree 100% with you. I have now returned the game three times only to be given another faulty game in return. At this point I would even take a completely different 360 game in return, Tomb Raider, Modern Combat, anything that works!! I am not saying I will never buy 2K Sports games again, however, if they do not get answers to us soon, I will not forget this complete lack of interest by this company. This company wouldn't be here unless it had loyal customers to begin with and for them to turn a blind eye to us in this event is ridiculous. Who are we suppose to get answers from? 2K Sports has lost a lot of trust with me. These hot shot, big wigs need to get off their A****, and get us some answers!!!! We pay enough money for these games that we should not have to deal with this garbage!!!

but instead we get more of the run around. I've called their corp offices and was promised a call back in 30 mins. Instead I got nothing. I'm calling again to complain tomorrow. If you guys want, I'll galdly share the number with you. I say the more that call in, the better. Maybe, just maybe they'll finally realize how badly they screwed up.
I'm considering trying to get in touch with MLB, but I doubt that will do much good. I'm just trying to do something to help get this dam'n game fixed and to get what they owe us.

Yes, I would love to have the number. I think you should post it here so everyone can call these guys. Enough is enough already, they owe us something.

While they are at it a few little bugs that are in the game and are super annoying are;
"Beltran coming to the plate, he had no homeruns and no rbi's last year" please, fix this, it is annoying. Just about everyone in major league baseball apparently had 0 home runs and 0 rbi's in 2005.
regardless of a pitchers era in 2005 the pregame commentary says.." a horrible era for him last year"
It is a decent game but PLEASE get a patch out or at least offer a Full cash refund.
Numbers to call and complain are 646-536-2842 and 805.388.3841

Yeah, this is my first 2K6 game that I have ever bought. Perhaps the last...
The thing is I think I might actually like the game a little if given the chance to play more than two innings... So, I disabled the HDD to play a couple games, not bad. Now to wait for this patch so I can play the game modes I want to without having to keep my xbox on 24/7 for lack of a saving option.
Pretty S***ty... Honestly I'm about over the 360 and 2K Sports both.

Well said jfair! But honestly, I'm tired of seeing all these posts, yet we still post them, myself included. I just want a fix. I want my **** game to work. I want to be able to get out of the 1st inning. I've already exchanged my copy 2x @ Best Buy. I'm going to keep doing it until their supply is diminished if I have to - obviously they ship all their defective merchandise back to the manufacturer so we'll see what comes of it. It may be pointless, but what the heck? I can't play the darn thing anyway - so I'll keep exchanging it to see if I actually find one that works.

Apparently the strike took place last season, as no one had any home runs, rbi's or wins. Last year I bought MLB 2k5 instead of MVP because of the price. This year I had no choice. Unless they do a massive overhaul, I'll never buy a 2K sports product again. They've really shot themselves in the foot.

You do have every right to be upset with a defective product. Yet you state that one week is more than enough time for 2K to fix the problems in the game.
How long do people believe it takes to fix a problem like this on a console game? If any of you are expecting this problem to be fixed any time soon, you will be disappointed once again.
I'm not taking sides in this argument because my games work (I have the PS2 and PSP versions), yet I can understand how you all feel with the defective products. I'm just saying everyone here needs to be realistic on what is going on. It isn't that 2K isn't caring about what is going on because no company wants to lose customers, but whatever happens isn't going to happen quickly...

Hi everybody.
I have to say jfair is absolutly 100% correct in his statements. This is the second game I have purchased from 2K sports that has a major problem. I also own NHL 2k6, and they have not fixed the freeze problem in that game. So if history has taught us anything I fear they will not fix the problem with this game. I dont see how anybody could think it's fair that they are rippin us for $60 a game, and then they do not play as they should. 2K sports obviuosly needs to do alot more testing before releasing these games. I really feel that thier bogus workarounds are a slap in the face. I bought a Premiuim Xbox 360 to have the harddrive, so why should I have to remove it just to play thier game, when none of my other games require this. I can just picture the new fix it should go something like this
"Ok with the tray open, and the game in the tray run around the Xbox 3 times real fast, then quickly sit with your back facing the xbox Indian style on the floor. After that close and open the tray 4 times so that you end up with it open, then stand quickly and run around the xbox an additional 2 times, Then sit Indian style facing the xbox, close tray, hold your breath, cross your fingers. This may correct the issue, please keep in mind that this must be completed within 30 seconds or it will not work. Sincerely 2K sports"
I would really just appreciate A recall on NHL 2K6, and MLB 2K6. Funny that NBA 2K6 plays fine.

the fact is yea 2k messed up in fact the F***ed up but its the only option and i guess you gotta wait for a solution... i bet mlb is going crazy for allowing the exclusive liscense cuz this ultimitely falls on all of the dumb leagues for granting liscenses.... thank god for the nba...... as far as not being able to get your money back you should just do wat i did... at gamestop i returned the game 3 times after the 3rd time they dont want to waste all their copies so they do eventually give in and give you ur money back, the third time he told me that i could have my money or i could wait for the patch that was being made i chose to wait for the patch... as far as the 7 day return policy he said dont worry about it that he wud refund my money... so just keep returning it until they give you wat you want
and if your game works please keep your mouth shut this is for people who want to help
if you dont have a problem with the freezing you shouldnt be on the forums in the first place
