After browsing many of the dynasties in this forum, I have decided to move my dynasty from www.dynastycentral.com to these forums. It seems like a great place to get feedback and have people read the dynasties. I will be using a few things from other dynasties, if anyone has a problem with what I use, I will take it away immediatley.
Well, here is the start of my dynasty.

SPOKANE, WA (AP) - Hello, and welcome to Channel 12 News, we have just recieved a breaking report. The Gonzaga Bulldogs have just named their new coach. The man's name is Coach Martin and he will be the new coach of the Gonzaga Bulldogs. We will get you to the press conference as soon as possible.
As you remembered a few weeks ago, in a surprising statement, Mark Few stepped down as Head Coach. He said the pressure was too much, and he needed some time away from basketball. After this huge shock, Gonzaga has seemed to fill the hole pretty quickly. Let's go to the press conference now.
Reporter: Coach, how do you feel about taking over the Head Coach spot here at Gonzaga?
Martin: This is a great program, and I'm thrilled to be coaching them now, until today, nobody even knew who I was.
Reporter 2: How hard to you think it will be to adjust from High School ball to College B-ball?
Martin: Well I'm hoping my players will respond, and I'm asking for their respect. For me, it's just another challenge that I hope to overcome.
Reporter 3: What are your goals this year, and how do you think you will fair in the tough WCC?
Martin: Well, Pepperdine and Portland are going to be tough this year, but I think we will have the best team in the conference. I think we will take the conference and earn a #4 seed in the tournament.
Reporter 4: Coach Martin, How...
Martin: Well, I'm sorry you will have to excuse me, I have to look over the schedule, and name this years starters.
(Note: Portland and Pepperdine are good because I'm a few years into my dynasty, so they will have very good records compared to real life)

The idea behind the sharing of legacies is to see what experiences other people are having with the game, so welcome, we'll be reading with interest. All the guys here bring a different flavour or viewpoint. We'll be interested to see what your's is as you move forward

Spokane, WA (AP) - Gonzaga made sure they won, and they did it with style too. They came out firing on all cylinders, but they may have lost a key ingredient to their team. They got off to a quick start 10-0 and never looked back. Rutgers didn't prove that they deserved the #8 seed.
After a 10-0 start, Gonzaga just kept piling the points on. At one point in the game Rutgers closed the lead to only 4 points, making the score 62-58 in the 3rd quarter. Gonzaga sensed that Rutgers were gaining some energy, so they just kept pounding inside with Bob Taylor. The final score was 74-65.
Coach Martin was thrilled with the outcome, "The boys played great tonight, especially Bob Taylor. They had no answers for him, he is just too dang tall."
It will sure be a night that Coach Martin remembers, winning his first NCAA game against the #8 team in the country. Although everything seems to have gone fine, Gonzaga also lost a key team member late in the 4th quarter. Corey Clark was driving in and twisted his ankle down in the lane. Coach Martin says, "The trainer says it was just a bad twist, but he will be resting for a couple games until it heals. We will also have to take some x-rays."
Key Players
Corey Clark- 26 Points, 8 Assists
Bob Taylor- 15 Rebounds
Cal Shiloh- 10 Points off the bench

Spokane, WA (AP) - Russ Chatman hit five three-pointers to give Gonzaga the win over Belmont. Gonzaga came into the game without PG Corey Clark, and it seemed like they never missed him. Coach Martin gave Sandoval the PG position, and put Chatman as the shooting guard.
The 'Zags shot 10-19 from 3-point land which gave them their 78-55, despite no Corey Clark.
When asked about his amazing game, Chatman replied, "Coach gave me the chance, and I just shot the ball. Even though we didn't have Clark, I think we played a good game."
Next up Gonzaga faces Manhattan (1-1, 0-0).

Spokane, WA (AP)- It was an all out domination in the favour of the Gonzaga Bulldogs. Manhatan just couldn't match up to the inside presence of the 'Zags. Gonzaga outrebounded Manhattan 42-28, with Bob Taylor getting a double-double.
Manhattan was able to keep it close with 2 minutes remaning in the fourth quarter, it was 78-73, because of Manhattan's great outside shooting. On Gonzaga's next possesion Bob Taylor posted up, and was able to complete a 3-point play.
That made the score 81-73, and with less then a minute remaning, Manhattan was defeated. The final score was 83-75 in Gonzaga's favour.
"I just knew I was going to have a big game today, and Coach said that I was going to be the goto guy all game, I just wanted to make sure the team won," said Bob Taylor on the win.
In other Gonzaga news, X-rays have been taken on Corey Clark's ankle, and he has pulled a tendon in his ankle. That could have him sidelined for 3-4 weeks.

Spokane, WA (AP) - The gameplan was simple, stop Alan Harrison at all costs. At one of the leading point getters at 18.2 PPG, it seemed like all Gonzaga had to do was stop him from scoring. Well, Gonzaga did just the opposite.
Alan Harrison shot 12-23 from the field, with 26 points. Giving him all the shots, the rest of the Michigan team was ice cold. They shot a dismal 30% from the field.
With 1 minute to go and Gonzaga up 88-85, Michigan fouled freshman Jaron Demanby. He would be shooting a 1 and 1, but he missed the first, and Michigan called a timeout with 47 seconds on the clock.
Michigan would have trouble brining the ball up court, and they barely got it across half with 39 seconds left. Gonzaga was playing great perimeter defense, and Alan Harrison was smothered. With 21 seconds left, Harrison launched up a 3 and missed, but Michigan got the rebound.
Gonzaga used their last foul to give with 16 seconds left, and Harrison launched another poor 3 up and missed. Demanby was fouled with 10 seconds left. This time he made both free throws, and Gonzaga sealed the win 90-85.

Spokane, WA (AP) - Leading the way to a 70-46 pounding over Holy Cross would be freshman Jaron Demanby. He shot 8-15 from the field, with 19 points to cap off a great night. This was his season high, and it was definatley a great night.
Asked about the game Demanby replied, "It was just a great all around effort, and I just happened to score the most points. I think we are really coming together as a team, and I'm just happy Coach gave me the starting spot at the beginning of the season."
Gonzaga forced 15 turnovers, while only committing 6 of their own. On those 15 turnovers, Gonzaga turned in into 16 fast break points, compared to Holy Cross only getting 4 fast break points.
Another key standout was Eric Bennett who was given the starting position of Russ Chatman. He chipped in 14 points along with 4 steals. Corey Clark is expected to return in 1-2 weeks. Gonzaga has yet to face an outstanding PG without him.

Stuart Scott: Welcome to Sportscenter and today we have **** Vitale talking about the Coaches Classic, which definatley lived up to it's name this year. Take it away Dickie V.
Vitale: Oh, baby! What a great game! Everyone though that Gonzaga had it locked up, and that this game was over before it even started. Well let me tell ya something, Ohio State put up a great fight baby!
Let me break the game down for you. My diaper dandy, Petie Mcknight had a great game with 35 points for Ohio State! He shot 38% from the field, with the entire Ohio State team shooting 42%. Not only that, but the 'Zags only shot 30% tonight.
Boy, tonight was not their not their not, but somehow they pulled it off!
In a surprising move, Coach Martin put Eric Bennett with less then a minute remaning. He came in and hit a three to make the score 60-58 in Ohio State's favor.
Not only that, but then he stole the ball on the next play and drove it down for the huge dunk baby! By this time it was pure madness, and the fans were goin' crazy! Once we got into overtime Gonzaga just dominated and Bennett scored 8 points! I'm telling ya, this kid is just a freshman but boy is he gonna be good!! Back to you Stuart!
Scott: Thanks ****, Does anyone think that he was just a tad bit dull? Now on with more of Sportscenter.

Spokane, WA (AP) - In a game that was oddly considered a non-conference game (even though it was), Gonzaga sure made it look like it was an important conference game. They pulled off a pretty close win 65-55.
They definatley outshot their way to winning this game. Santa Clara's defense just could not keep up with the great shooting of Gonzaga's backcourt, Eric Bennett and Anthony Sandoval. They combined for a total of 38 points, more then half of Gonzaga's points.

Spokane, WA (AP) - The question is, can this team lose? That's what many fans are thinking and so is the team. Now that they have defeated the Orangemen 77-64, Gonzaga seems to be on a role, and that is thanks to Coach Martin.
This time, Coach Martin tried something new, a 1-3-1 zone. The game was close in the first half, and then Gonzaga came out in this new defense. It seemed to shut down Syracuse completely, and their second half FG Percent was just 28%.
"I just thought we should try something new, because in the first half they seemed to be hitting everything. I'm going to throw this defense into the gameplan more often now," Coach Martin said on the defence.
Next up Gonzaga will be facing Akron, and then they will head into the hardest week of their season: Texas, Duke, and the conference play against Pepperdine.

Spokane, WA (AP) - Gonzaga completely outshot and outplayed Akron, the much weaker team. Gonzaga forced 15 turnovers, and shot 45% from the floor, while Akron only shot 33%.
Anthony Sandoval had a field day, with 26 points, his season high. Freshman Jaron Demanby also got his personal best 20 points in Gonzaga's 15 point win over Akron, 70-55.

Spokane, WA (AP) - It sure was lonely in The Lone Star State for Dan West. With 0.4 seconds remaing, he fouled Joe Davis of Gonzaga. Davis hit the two free throws, and all Texas could do was a tap in, and they never even had a chance.
It was a tough break for the All-Conference junior from Texas, but hopefully Texas can rebound from this loss. Gonzaga will keep up their undefeated ways and advance to 10-0 on the season.
Once again Coach Martin went with another lineup change and used the deadly 1-3-1 zone. This is what he had to say, "That 1-3-1 kept us in the game, and I decided to put Joe Davis in for experience and to throw Texas off. It sure worked out, because he came through big time."

Spokane, WA (AP) - The crowd was wild at Duke, but not enough to stop Gonzaga. After the close call with Texas, the 'Zags came in determined to win, and win they did.
Duke was always there, but they never had the killer instinct to come back as Gonzaga won by 7, 82-75. They shot 36% from behind the line on 8-22 shooting. Duke kept it close with outstanding freshman Jamual Clifford leading the way with 22 Points, but it just wasn't enough.
Gonzaga will now enter conference play with a perfect record 11-0, and in the tough WCC that is an advantage. Now the slates are wiped clean, and they will have to play tough against teams such as Portland and Pepperdine.
"I just hope our guys don't get too overconfident, because its a strong conference this year, and just because we beat Duke and Texas, doesn't mean were unstoppable," said Coach Martin. Next up is Pepperdine who are now nationally ranked at #19.

Spokane, WA (AP)- It's the middle of the second quarter, the score 45-33, Pepperdine in the lead. Corey Clark is dribbling the ball up the court in his surprising return. Now he's dribbling around Allan Hanson, there's the crossover... Clark is down and he appears to had to hurt his ankle again, let's hope it's not serious.
This wasn't the way Gonzaga was supposed to start the conference season. After big wins against Texas and Duke; Gonzaga came out and played their WORST game of the season. They were outplayed in every aspect of the game and came out flat. They may have also lost Corey Clark again, and this time for the season with a broken ankle.
Gonzaga shot a very poor 24% from the field, and it seemed like nothing would drop for them. They were outrebounded for the first time all season 36-30. The final score of 88-72 was closer the game should have been. Coach Martin was very dissapointed in the loss, "We just weren't into the game, it was like everyone had given up. After Corey went down, I just couldn't get them back into the game."
Let's hope the Bulldogs can recover as they head out to face Loyola Marymount (2- 12) and San Fransisco (4-6). These should both be confidence builders and easy wins, because Gonzaga needs to turn it around if they want to win this conference.

Spokane, WA (AP) - After the dissapointing loss to Pepperdine, Gonzaga made sure they would not fall to the weak Loyola Marymount. Anthony Sandoval stepped up at the PG again sinking a season high 32 points and 11 assists in the win over LM 77-65
Gonzaga looked to be back on track with this win, and seemed to be shooting well and rebounding well. Coach Martin through out the 1-3-1 again, but called it off after a quick 6-0 Loyola Marymount run with 4:00 left in the 2nd half.
"I think we played an overall good game tonight, but our defense still struggled. It seemed like when I called the zone, the team was out of place and not playing well. That's one of things I will have to address in practice." Those were Coach Martin's comments after the game.

Martin made a change to the 1-3-1 and put Jeffries down at the bottom of it. It definatley gave them results, with Jeffries getting 3 blocks and 10 rebounds along with 16 points.
Jeffries was key in Gonzaga's 82-68 win over the much smaller and weaker San Francisco squad. Coach Martin was very pleased with the outcome, "I've never seen Brad play that way, if he can play that way all the time, with him and Bob Taylor down low, thats a deadly combo right there."
Although the score wouldn't show it, San Francisco played pretty well. Gonzaga shot 39% from the floor, while San Fran. shot 35% from the field. The difference was turnovers, where Gonzaga only had 3 turnovers, but San Fransisco had 9. Gonzaga now improves to 12-1 on the season, with a 2-1 conference record, 3rd in the conference.

Well after the St. Mary's game, whenever I played it, right when you quit back to the main legacy screen it shows the ESPN logo and says loading with the three periods. Well, instead of those three periods going and coming, they just sit their frozen. No matter what I do it does this, if I save my profile, don't save my profile, or don't even use my profile.
So I did what I had to do and simmed the game . I won the game, so my record is now 13-1. I saved the game, so hopefully when I play against Portland it works now :?. I hope it works after all this work :(
Wish me luck I'll be back in about one hour with the results.

Spokane, WA (AP) - For the second time this season, the Gonzaga Bulldogs have been handed another loss. This time it was at the hands of the Portland Pilots. Coming in as a strong favorite to win this game, Gonzaga neeeded this win to stay in contention for the #1 spot in the WCC. Instead they were blown out 78-65. Now they have fallen to 4th in the conference at 3-2.
This is what Johnson had to say about his team's victory, "We were trying to set the tempo early in the game, we knew we had to stay ahead of these guys," Johnson said.
Now Gonzaga will need to win most of their remaining games if they want to get the Automatic Bid in the NCAA. "I'm hoping for the best, hopefully Portland and Pepperdine will lose a few, but we just need to worry about our own games. We can't let this game get to us, we are still a very strong team," said Coach Martin.
Gonzaga committed 15 turnovers, while Portland only committed 4 turnovers. Six of those turnovers were made by Anthony Sandoval who just couldn't seem to keep the ball in his hands. The shooting was below-average at 31% compared to Portland's 43%. "It seemed like every shot was going down, but we couldn't buy a shot," said Joe Davis.

Spokane, WA (AP) - You could say the Duke or Texas game was big, but this game was even bigger. Gonzaga defeated Santa Clara, who were undefeated in WCC play until now. They didn't win this game in a blowout, actually it was an OT Thriller. Here's the rundown on the end of the 4th and OT.
Late in the fourth quarter, Santa Clara was trailing by two points with ten seconds to go. They got the ball across half court and called a timeout with eight seconds to go. They ran a trick play to the inside, and with Gonzaga guarding for the three, Seth Frey banked home a 6-footer as time expired. The teams headed into overtime 76-76
As overtime started, Gonzaga got off to a quick start, and once again with 30 seconds remaining, Santa Clara managed to tie the game at 82 all. Joe Davis, the experienced SG passed it up to Anthony Sandoval, and with five seconds left he blew by his defender, and put up a prayer. The ball swished in, and Gonzaga won the game! 84-82 was the final score.
The game stats were very close with both teams shooting 38% from the field, but Gonzaga had 5 less turnovers, which was probably one of the deciding factors in the game.

Spokane, WA (AP) - Gonzaga seems to be falling faster and faster lately, as they have now dropped 2 out of their last 3. This one wasn't even close. Gonzaga came in as the heavy favorites, but came out with a big loss 80-68.
It seemed like Gonzaga was in control with a 49-45 lead going into halftime, but then in the 2nd half it went completely wrong. Gonzaga kept pusing the three's, but only shot 1-8 from behind the line. "We needed to get back into this game, and I thought that was the way to go, but I called it off to late," said Coach Martin.
On the other side of the ball, San Diego played one of their best games all year, with only two turnovers, and they shot an amazing 45%, the highest all year for them. Their freshman guard Bryan Davis drained in 28 points and had 10 assists for his first double-double of the year.
Gonzaga now falls to 3-4 in conference play and San Diego picks up their 2nd win. The picture is looking very interesting for the final month. Stay tune for our Monthly WCC Roundup.

Spokane, WA (AP) - Gonzaga is now losers in three out of their last four, and many are putting the blame on Coach Martin. Gonzaga didn't even show up to play Pepperdine. They only shot 22% from the field, and missed 16 three pointers.
Pepperdine came into this game expecting Gonzaga to put up a huge fight after their loss to San Diego. Instead, they stomped all over them winning 77-46. Junior Jared Porter scored a career-high 36 points, and shot 52% from the field.
Many are now questioning Gonzaga's move to put an inexperienced Coach in charge of their program, because he is losing control of his players. Coach Martin told us, "I didnt see anyone complaining when we went undefeated in non-conference play. I don't care what everyone thinks, I came here to win and that's what I'm going to keep trying to do. There is going to be some serious changes around here in the next few games."
We don't know what he means by that, but we wil keep you tuned in. Gonzaga is now 4-4 in conference play, while Pepperdine has now improved to 7-1.

We now interupt your scheduled programming to bring you live to Coach Martin's press conference.
Martin: Well before any questions, I just want to say that I was the one who called this press conference, and it's for good reason. I'm going to address several issues along with a new starting lineup. Well let's get to the lineup first, and here it is
PG: Joe Davis
SG: Eric Bennett
SF: Jaron Demanby
PF: Cal Shiloh
C: Bob Taylor
I feel this changes are appropriate and after some players have seem to have given up, I think these are for the best. That doesn't mean that a spot can't be won back, and Corey Clark will also get the PG back, if he comes back before the end of the season.
Ok now I will take any questions.
Reporter: Coach Martin, how is Corey doing, and how do you think his injury will affect your team's tournament chances?
Coach: I feel this team is completely capable of playing great ball with or without Corey. On his status, his leg is healing, but he still isn't expected to return before the WCC Tourney.
Reporter: Do you feel this new lineup will cause conflict between your players?
Coach: Of course it will create some conflict, but I'm hoping it will motivate players even harder, and show that you have to earn your starting position. Any fights will have the penalty of a 1-game benching at least.
Reporter: How do you feel about the pressure from the Athletic Director and many people's comments?
Coach: I feel that it is unfair towards me and my team. We have been working very hard towards winning, and never once has that not been the goal. I think that I am being under appreciated right now.
Reporter: Coach, Is it true that you have recieved and/or applied for jobs at other programs?
Coach: Yes, that is true.
Reporter: Can you tell us what schools they may be?
Coach: No, I can't comment on that right now. All I have to look at right now is this season, and the team I'm coaching right now.
Channel 12: Well there you have it, straight from the man himself. I wonder how this team is going to bounce back amid all these changed and rumours, but let's hope they can pull it off.

At the end of the first half it was 40-38 in Gonzaga's favor. Loyola Marymount was hanging in their, and actually outplaying the 'Zags for a good part of the first half. Once the second half came around, Eric Bennet took over and made his case WCC Freshman of the year.

Spokane, WA (AP) - The score was only 60-52, but even through the poor shooting night, Gonzaga came up big when they needed it. Coach Martin put the 1-3-1 defense on the line, and it shut down San Francisco completely.
Gonzaga forced 15 turnovers with 22 fast break points because of San Francisco not having a true PG to handle the ball. This has hurt San Francisco all year long, and it did once again.
Bob Taylor had an outstanding game, netting 22 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, and getting 5 blocks. The guards had a pretty tough night, with both teams shooting less then 10% from behind the line. The inside game was dominated by Gonzaga, and the defense was the story of this game.
Coach Martin commented, "We worked on the 1-3-1 a lot in practice, and I finally decided to go back to it. As you can see the boys stay dedicated to the zone, and it worked wonders."

Spokane, WA (AP) - The Bulldogs are back to their winning ways, and have now won three straight. These are key conference wins, if Gonzaga wants to catch up to 8-2 Santa Clara. They are going to have to win all of the rest of their conference games, and they did just that in this game.
With 5 minutes remaining, the 'Zags were only up by 5. Santa Clara SG Steve Horn got the ball and decided to take it all the way. He faked the three, and then got a clearer shot and narrowed the score down to just 3 points.
Coach Martin called a timeout and told his team to get back into the game, and they started a 6-0 run. That would be all they needed, with St. Mary's only scoring 4 points in the last 4 minutes. The final score was 70-65 in favor of the Bulldogs.
Eric Bennett and Jaron Demanby both had outstanding games, with each getting 16 points a piece. Joe Davis once again held the PG position very strong with 22 Points and 8 Assists. It was an overall positive effort on both sides, but Gonzaga came out stronger.
In other news, Corey Clark is expected to return to play against San Diego for limited time, and then fully start in the game against Santa Clara. Coach Martin comments, "Having Corey back is great, not taking away anything from Joe Davis. I'm thinking we will move Joe to the SG spot, and let Corey have the PG back, but will see as time goes on. Eric has been having a great season, too."

Spokane, WA (AP) - It was just too much to handle. Gonzaga came into this game needing a win, and desperately through everything they had at the tough Portland Pilots. The thing was, it WAS too much too much to handle, but not for Gonzaga. It was too much to handle for the Portland Pilots.
Trailing by 5 with 20 Seconds left, Joe Davis took the ball up and hit a three with 13 seconds remaining. They then quickly fouled the Portland C, and put him at the line in a 1-1 situation. He missed the first free throw, and Bob Taylor grabbed the rebound and called timeout with 11 seconds remaining.
The inbounds play was to get Bob Taylor an easy two pointer, but that would not happen. Jaron Demanby got the ball in his hand and drove to the hoop with seconds remaining, and threw up a layup that dropped. The game was headed to OT.
In the first OT, it was basket for basket, and then Gonzaga had one last chance to win the game. With 2 seconds on the clock, Joe Davis threw up a three-pointer, but it rimmed out. The game was headed to double overtime and fatigue was setting in.
Coach Martin took out Joe Davis to give him a rest, and put in Anthony Sandoval. That was probably his best move ever, because Sandoval came in and hit two quick three's. Portland never rebounded. Gonzaga handed the conference leaders a loss, and got a well-deserved win.

Spokane, WA (AP) - The underachieving Washington Huskies were no match for the Bulldogs, and they now make it five wins in a row. They came in ready to play and outshot Washington with a FG percentage of 42%. Joe Davis once again had a great game and showed why he now has the starting PG position.
Gonzaga had a 15 point lead going into the half at 36-21, and they extended it even more in the 2nd half. Washington was shooting very poorly from the field, and Coach Martin let the 1-3-1 zone take control, playing it the whole game. Washington had 15 turnovers, and only shot 30% this game, including 2-10 3PT Field Goals.
The only place where Gonzaga struggled was in the paint, with Bob Taylor and Cal Shiloh only combing for 14 points, but Gonzaga's guards were too much. "Eric and Joe just shot like crazy, it seemed like everything was dropping," said Coach Martin.
Gonzaga now improves to 20-4 overall, but they are still in 4th in the WCC. Corey Clark is still on schedule to return for the game against San Diego.

Spokane, WA (AP) - It was a thriller down at the Kennel. Arizona has been playing a very tough schedule, and have struggled down the road, but they are always a strong team. Led by senior SG Jason Willis, Arizona was up by 12 at the half.
Gonzaga found a way to regroup, thanks to the shooting of Joe Davis, and the inside presence of Bob Taylor and Cal Shiloh. They were able to dominate the paint and the boards. They got off to an 8-0 run when the half started, and used many small runs.
Arizona seemed to run out of steam, which has been happening to them a lot lately. After starting off 0-6, this has been the story of their season, and Gonzaga took advantage of it. Gonzaga looks to take this momentum going into their last two conference games.

Spokane, WA (AP) - It was full sails ahead for Gonzaga, as they completed crushed San Diego on their way to Santa Clara. With this win, Gonzaga is now 3rd in the conference at 9-4, compared to 8-5 Santa Clara.
"Coach just told us how important this game was, and we came out and gave it our best. San Deigo didn't even seem like they were here tonight," said Joe Davis on the win. He dropped in 14 Points, and had 3 steals in last nights win. Another key standout was Jaron Demanby, who had his best game all season.
Even though they lost 80-57, San Diego did have some positives this season. This was their last game of the season, and they will end up in 7th place in the WCC playing against the strong Portland team. Hopefully they will have better luck next year.
We will keep you up to date on all the latest Gonzaga news, including their next game against Santa Clara, probably one of the biggest of the season.

Gonzaga Clinches 3rd

Spokane, WA (AP) - Gonzaga came in looking to clinch 3rd place away from Santa Clara, and they did just that. They will be heading into the WCC Tournament with plenty of momentum. They also did this for the first time in a while with Corey Clark's help.
Although he played limited time, he manged to get 6 Points and 2 Assists. His ankle is still hurting a little, but by time the NCAA tourney comes, he should be playing fully.
They played a great defensive game, allowing Santa Clara only to score 40 points, while the Bulldogs got 65 themselves in this low scoring game. They also forced 12 turnovers, and shot a very good 33% from the field.
Santa Clara also needed to win this game, but failed to do so, as we saw early on. They came out flat, and never really showed any heart with their SR PG out. Joe Davis and Corey Clark dominated the whole game due to this.
Coming tomorrow we will have a HUGE preview on the WCC Tourney, and break it all down for you.
Final Score
65-40
Key Players
Corey Clark- 6 Points, 2 Assists (10 Minutes of Play)
Joe Davis- 18 Points, 8 Assists
Bob Taylor- 7 Rebounds

Hey i don't know about 3rd place because the WCC isn't as strong as the power conferences in strength of schedule. Will the Zags need to win the WCC tourney to get in the NCAA's or if you've done enough as is

Well in real life the WCC is weak, but in my legacy Portland and Pepperdine are ranked teams. I think I have done enough as is, because I am ranked #8 in the nation now.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT
(8) San Francisco (5-20) vs (1) Pepperdine (25-3)
The regular season champs go in against a very weak San Francisco team. They are heavy favorites to take this tournament.
(7) San Diego (5-20) vs (2) Portland (24-4)
Portland enters the tournament with a losing streak, but San Diego should be no problem for Portland.
(6) Loyola Marymount (4-24) vs (3) Gonzaga (24-4)
Gonzaga comes in as the hottest team entering the tournament riding a 8 game winning streak, and they don't look to be slowing down now.
(5) St. Mary's (11-15) vs (4) Santa Clara (12-11)
Santa Clara was in the 3rd place for the longest time, then they hit a very big skid. We are calling for an upset here with St. Mary's taking the game.

Spokane, WA (AP) - Gonzaga continues there winning streak into the post-season and they did it with power this time. Using their height advantage over Loyola Marymount, Bob Taylor and Cal Shiloh took it to them with Gonzaga outscoring in the paint 43-15, and winning the game 74-60.
Corey Clark also showed signs of his old self by almost getting a double-double with 6 Points, and 10 Assists. Joe Davis went back to the SG position and still managed to get 3 steals.
From the Loyola Marymount side, it seemed like the Gonzaga Bulldogs were everywhere, and they couldn't manage to get anything done. "They were all over us, using that 1-3-1 zone, I just can't believe that these guys were a #3 seed," said Lyle Hudson, star SF for Loyola Marymount.
Coach Martin was impressed with his team's performance overal, but he knows there is still a long way to go, "This is just one win, we still need two more if we want to win this Tournament."
Final Score
74-60

Gonzaga Keeps It Going
http://espn-att.starwave.com/i/teamlogos/ncaa/sml/trans/2250.gif (25-4, 10-4) VS. http://espn.starwave.com/i/teamlogos/ncaa/sml/trans/2501.gif (25-4, 12-2)
Spokane, WA (AP) - Once again, Gonzaga is not looking back. They have just beaten the Portland Pilots, and will now go on to face Pepperdine in the WCC championship. Even though the 'Zags came in as underdogs, Portland had a little trouble with their first round matchup against San Diego, and that showed coming into this game.
Portland came out very sluggish and Gonzaga started off with a 10-0 run, with 6 points scored by Corey Clark. He seems to be showing no signs of after effects from the injury, except for a little fatigue.
By the end of the first half it was 46-30 Gonzaga. Portland did show some signs of life in the early second half, starting off with six unanswered points to make the score 46-36, but it was too little, too late. Gonzaga used their very effective 1-3-1 and never let Portland make another run.
Hopefully this momentum will carry into the WCC Championship, which will be a thrilling game between two Tournament-bound teams.
Final Score
80-68
Key Players
Corey Clark- 15 Points, 5 Assists, 3 Rebounds
Bob Taylor- 8 Points, 6 Rebounds
Duncan Horner (Portland) - 4 Points (Averages 16 a game)

Well I know it has been forever since I have updated this legacy, but I have been bored, especially with the NHL going into a lockout
Expect to see a steady stream of updates until I either win the championship or lose. After that I will wait until CH 2K5, and then I will start next season.

The WCC Champions
http://espn-att.starwave.com/i/teamlogos/ncaa/sml/trans/2250.gif (25-4, 10-4) VS. http://espn.starwave.com/i/teamlogos/ncaa/sml/trans/2492.gif (25-3, 12-2)
Spokane, WA (AP) - When we are talking about the WCC Champions, we aren't talking about the Gonzaga Bulldogs. It was the perfect championship game, but it wasn't the perfect ending for the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
Gonzaga started out the game very sluggish, with a 11-2 lead in favor of Pepperdine. They managed to chew away at the lead, and then Senior Anthony Sandoval hit a 3-pointer at the end of the half, to give Gonzaga a 1 point lead, 36-35.
Coach Martin expected his team to ride this momentum into the second half, but this was not the case. They came out flat once again, and dug themselves into a hole. With a few seconds remaining, Pepperdine was up by 2 once again.
They gave the ball to Anthony Sandoval once again, and he let off a shot that seemed to be the winning 3-pointer, but at closer review it was only a 2-pointer. The game would be headed into overtime.
All through overtime, each team was there basket for basket, until one bad play. Corey Clark would foul while the basket was still made, giving them a 3-point play. On the Bulldogs next trip up the court, a bad pass was thrown out of the reach of Bob Taylor and it sailed out of bounds. Pepperdine would then hit another two, and with overtime almost over, it was all but over. Clark hit a game ending three pointer, which made the final score 78-76 with Pepperdine being crowned the WCC Champions.
It was a very dissapointing loss, especially for the Seniors. 4 out of 5 of Gonzaga's starters were seniors, and this was their last chance to win a Conference Tournament. Hopefully they will be able to rally together to prove something in the NCAA's, because with so many graduating, who knows what will happen next year...
The NCAA Preview Edition of the Spokane Times is coming soon to a newstand near you!
Final Score
78-76
Key Players
Anthony Sandoval- 4 Three-Pointers, 16 Points
Bob Taylor- 12 Rebounds
Cal Shiloh- 14 Points, 5 Assists

NCAA TOURNAMENT
Spokane, WA (AP)- Here are our picks on the West and Mid-West part of NCAA Tourney!
West
(16) Army vs. (1) Florida State
With Florida State winning the ACC, there is almost no doubt that Army will be going down in this first round game.
(9)SW Missouri State vs. (8)Richmond
Many bracketologists don't understand why SW Missouri State was given a (9) seed, they feel this should have been much lower. Richmond will most likely pull off this win.
(12)The Citadel vs. (5)Illinois
Illinois had a tough non-conference schedule this year, and they passed most of their challenges. This should be an interesting game with Illinois pulling through in the end.
(13)Pennsylvania vs. (4)Michigan
Another game where the top dog should have no problem, the only problem for them will once again be their height, but that shouldn't pose a problem until later in the tournament.
(11)Oak Union College vs. (6)USC
This will be a very close game right down to the finish, but we are not expecting any upsets here, USC is too strong.
(14)Eastern WA vs. (3)DePaul
DePaul has had a six game winning streak entering the tournament, and they don't look to be slowing down anytime soon. This team could be a sleeper to win it all.
(10)LA-Lafayette vs. (7)Southern Miss
It looks like we are going to finally pick an upset. We think that the Ragin' Cajuns are going to pull this one off and send Southern Miss packing early.
(15) Mt. St. Mary's vs. (2)Missouri
What can we say? Missouri is supposed to win this game, and we definatley think they are too.
Midwest
(16)NC A & M vs. (1)Rutgers
Rutgers will easy pull off this win and many more to come throughout this tournament.
(9)Fresno State vs. (8)Gonzaga
Something has got to be wrong here, Gonzaga a #8 Seed? Even though they had one of the toughest schedules in Division I, still no love from the committee. We have to go with our hometown team, Go Zags!
(12)Eastern Tenn. State vs. (5)Kentucky
Its the dreaded 12 v 5 seed match, and we feel that the 'Cats are in trouble, we are predicting Eastern Tenn. pulling off a big time upset.
(13)Vermont vs. (4)Oklahoma State
No big upsets here, we think that Oklahoma State should have no problem elmininating the Catamounts.
(11)Garden State Coll. vs. (6)Brigham Young
In a very closely contested match, we think that Brigham Young will be able to fend off the upset.
(14)McNeese State vs. (3)UNLV
The Runnin' Rebels should have no problem running away with this game, and maybe even a few others.
(10)SB Del Mar State vs. (7)Cincinnati
After a tough fought season in C-USA, Cincinnati should be able to win this game with relative ease.
(15)Troy State vs. (2)Maryland
Coming in 2nd in the ACC isn't so bad, and neither is a #2 seed. The 'Terps will be going far in this tournament.

Stuart Scott: Welcome to Sports Center, this is Stuart Scott, and as always here is my partner Linda Cohen.
Linda Cohen: Well it looks as if we have the rankings in for the tournament, and boy is this shaping up to be a good tournament.
Scott: This year it looks like we are going to have somewhat of a PTI-like show between Dickie V. and Andy Katz
Linda: Right Stuart, let's send it on over then....
--------------------------------------------
Vitale: Oh baby, this is going to be one heck of a tourney this year!
Katz: That's for sure, but lets talk about some specifics. The first topic is going to be on Florida State, do you buy or sell them going all the way?
Vitale: No way baby! They might have been #1 in the ACC, but there is no way they are going to take this whole thing. They gotta get through Rutgers, Maryland, Depaul, and Mizzou first. Like I said before, Depaul all the way, baby!
Katz: Well I'm going to buy, the ACC was one of the strongest conferences, and there is no way Depaul is going to take the championship, I'm sure there was a reason that the committee picking them #3, and not a #2 or #1 seed, like FSU.
Vitale: Speaking of the committee, let's get on to our next topic. Buy or sell, the committee ripped the WCC off?
Katz: I'm going to buy on this one. Ripped them off? I think the committee did worse then that. Awarding Gonzaga the #8, and Pepperdine and Portland only getting #8 and #9 seeds were pretty bad too! (from me: going to be in the next update, other side of NCAA tourney :P) The WCC was a very strong conference this year, and if you ask me all the hard work these kids did, its just not fair to them, I don't know what the selection committeee was thinking.
Vitale: Well, I'm going to have to agree with you on this one baby! Buy all the way! These poor kids deserve something better! Gonzaga had the #10 SOS in the league, doesn't that tell ya something!!?? Plus Portland and Pepperdine are playing EACH OTHER... meaning there is a maximum of 2 WCC teams making it into the second round, when really all three should have been going in. Well that's all we have for this week, see ya in the Final Four baby!
-----------------------------------------------
Scott: Thanks you two, don't get too excited over there.
Linda: And in other sports news, the.....
