I see many people exit out of games many times. This is one reason why I have a low win total. I always beat the people who play a honest game. One question though, what does the number signify on the gamertag record page? Mine is #239. Is that a overall ranking or something? BTW, my gamertag is shox130 and I play with the Miami Heat.

And, may I ask what you are doing for each game? Such as, are you changing the double-team and defensive intensity settings? If so, I'd quit on you in a heartbeat. If you can't play a fair game, where the defense of your team depends on YOUR defensive effort, then you're not worth playing me. Also, are you using TURBO, because if you are then you are beating people by cheating.
I'll nominate myself as a "worthy player" (gamertag -> sunnylamb), since I've been beat by 51 points before online, but I played the guy anyway because he played fair and square (not changing any settings, EXCEPT for the defensive and offensive plays, which is fine by me).

How does turbo assist in this game, out of curiousity?
Not that I'd go out & buy a turbo controller anyways.

Actually, the only time I pause the game is in the beginning of the game to see who is hot and who is cold. I never even pause the game for any other time for the duration of the game. I never touch the coaching setting or substitutions and I don't think it is cheating anyway. Not that I am defending it, but depending the skill on the player, ANYBODY can be beaten. I played somebody today who tweaked every coach setting and double teamed every one of my guys and still found a way to win. Every strategy has its flaw. And no, I do not use a turbo controller. I play the fairest of games. I play with the Heat too, not one of those "elite" teams like the King, Mavericks, or Lakers. I don't shoot a million three's either. I don't take 3 point shooting teams like the Rockets and Sonics. I take the Heat because they can play "true" defense. People who play with elite teams aren't worthy of having their rank.

Well, for one no one was talking about a TURBO CONTROLLER. Unless you guys actually read the manual and just have really poor photographic memory, I'm inclined to think that you DO know what I'm talking about. Anyway, to help you out. Depending on yoru controller configuration in the game, you can press a button to TURBO the player. It doesn't last long, but it's very unrealistic and unfair. Your player will suddenly move like twice as fast. And, yes, when one is setting the defensive intensities to high on every player (as a lot of folks are doing) and setting double-team to every player (again, as a lot of folks are doing), and making wierd substitutions (sometimes the person just goes to the screen to try and rattle the other person, which is poor gamemanship, it happens a lot when I tie the game or take the lead) .... these are ALL stuff that can be and SHOULD be considered cheating. In short, if one can't win by playing the game as it is without retorting to the cheats and assistance in this game, than that person is a lame gamer. If I catch someone doing these things, I will simply quit the game. I'm there to have fun, not spend time changing settings, yelling crap into the microphone (as one dude did to me today), not putting the game on pause for extremely long periods of time just to get under the other person's skin. XBox Live is being ruined by these type of players. If you wan to play a person who doesn't claim to be the best by any stretch of the imagination, look for "sunnylamb" on XBox Live or email me at tremere@myway.com and let me know when you will be on :-)

Sunnylamb, what team do you play with? If you play with an elite team, you aren't so good yourself. Good players don't take good teams.

Tremere, double teaming you only leaves them to have one of your men free, all you have to do is past quickly out of it.
There's a strategy for every situation, it cant be cheating if it's part of the game.
Defensive intensity doesnt always help either, sometimes it make players overdefend & tend to increase fouling ratio on blocks & reaching.
Turbo gives the player extra speed, you can use it too.
What I consider cheating is people who somehow trip the connection & drop you & they end up getting the win.
Or people who pause constantly to throw off one's flow.

shox, I use the Detroit Pistons. That should answer your question as to whether my team is elite or not. The issue here isn't whether someone is good or not. As I stated before, I've been beat by << 51 >> points before, and didn't quit. Why? Because the guy played fair and square.
And, yes, Bostonian, using TURBO and setting double-teams on everyone (so that no matter who has the ball, that person gets double-teams, which I know for a fact isn't easy to pass out of without getting intercepted) IS CHEATING. It seems that no one can play fair and square online anymore.

Allday, please grow up. What are you, 12 years old? Go back to cheating online, if discussing the things that cheaters are doing bothers you that much.

Okay, I want you to judge if I "cheat" or not. I am online on weekdays from 12 pm-5pm eastern time. Play me whenver. I never host games by the way because it could be "Cheating" to play at home. Just one question about turbo. How it is unfair to use turbo. For example, I am playing with my Miami Heat. I am on fast break with Caron Butler and Eddie Jones. My opponent is the Pistons. Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince are in hot pursuit of my players. If I use the turbo button, can't my opponent use it too? Why should I be penalized for my faster players? If Butler has a speed rating of 80 and is supposedly doubled to 160 and Hamilton has a speed rating of 75 and is doubled to 150, it is the same ratio and should not be considered cheating. I use turbo on fast breaks by the way. If the opponent can use the turbo button too, why can't I?

No one actually ever answered my question. The number next to the gamertag in the gamertag status page in the X-Box version. Is that the average of all the rankings in each difficulty? I think it is because that is why some players only play with one difficulty.

Turbo is a feature to speed you up, If you wanna call an extra burst of "speed" to be cheating, I wont argue with you anymore!
Practice quick passing out of double-teams, I've played people who do that, all they did was left my other guys wide open for treys & whatever else the free-men wanted to do.
If you hold on to the ball to long when double-teamed, ofcourse u'll get your wallet stolen all day!!

I don't see why it's so wrong that tremere wants to play a realistic game online. When you watch your team play, do you see them double team everyone on defense? Do you see players magically increase their top speed? No, you don't.
There are people that use those things because that's just how they play - so be it. Just quit the game. If you just wanna have fun, then you won't care about tarnishing your record.
The bottom line is: you don't have to play these types of people if you don't want to. When it comes down to it, it's a game and only a game.
Now, with that "rant" out of the way, I don't think I've seen one person list the gamertag of another "good" player

With the way this game plays its impossible to get a realistic game going. There is nothing realistic about this game at all. As far as the turbo, its part of the game. Its not like you can turbo forever as well. The more turbo you use, the more easy you get tired and start missin shots. Like that guy said before me, if a double is on look for an open player and its always best to call a play that will spread the floor. The only reason we double team in the first place is because the defense ai sucks in this game. You can go through people easily especially if you don't put pressure or anything of sort. The computer doesn't adjust the defense until the guy has dropped 30 on ya.

How is using turbo cheating? Your acting like NBA Players dont sprint. If you dont think sprinting is something that atheltes do then I dont think you've ever played a sport in your life. Like that guy said any D can be beat. Maybe you dont know how so you'd rather whine and call it cheating. I see no problem with double teams or defensive pressure. Its all part of the game. I play a str8 game and I use the Wizards. If i dont use them its b/c i let the other player pick my team. How's that for legit play. lol

lol well i have respect for you being man enough to admit you lose by alot often. I think the biggest loss I took was around 30 pts. That was a long time ago, and the ratio of me beating people by 30 plus is 1000 to 1
