Very rarely do I visit publisher-specific forums. The only reason I do, is when something is seriously wrong. Of course, in the case of your game -- it's the ridiculous freezing issues. I can't help but to notice the lackluster spelling and grammar being thwarted by your members, and I feel compelled to at least attempt to adequately explain the fervor your game has caused for many gamers. I understand that as a publisher, you target a specific group of gamers. These gamers act as hype machines for you, and go in droves to purchase the newest games. While I may not be what you target, I think any developer, publisher, or possibly admin should at least consider the massive "presence" this community has when talking about MLB 2k6. I considered writing a letter, or even calling an office or two. Unfortunately, of course, those numbers or e-mails aren't readily apparent.

I have been playing console video games for quite awhile. Only a few times have I come up this utterly disappointed. The only game that comes to mind immediately when I think of major technical issues is an Unreal game that came out for the original X-box; published by Midway. The multi-player would randomly freeze and dump players on a constant basis, and the lackluster single-player would jerk and freeze consistenly. While the name of this game has left me, I still remember, and still refuse to buy any Midway published games. Let's be honest, developers - you are programming for a console. Console gaming is not like PC gaming - consumers don't plan to have to look for patches and updates as soon as they purchase the game. In fact, console gamers EXPECT the game to work somewhat perfectly out of the package. There is absolutely no reason to release a game that freezes regularly in single-player play. I haven't a clue what KUSH and 2k have in terms of quality testing - but you don't need 20 kids playing for 12 hours a day to find this massive programming glitch. In fact, you only needed one guy with a premium 360 to play for a maximum of 3 hours on single-player to spot this fatal flaw. I'm not only disconcerted by this, but extremely enraged that with such an obviously rushed game, testing wasn't a major issue.

I'm a huge fan of 2k. I fell in love with the NFL franchise, and still continue to wait and ponder about the future of the series. Yet - when the exclusive license ends will I be treated to a lackluster programmed game with poor graphics in a matter of years? Is every 2k game given the treatment MLB 2k6 was? Am I partaking in a "does it work?" ****shoot every time I buy a 2k game?

While I don't exactly know what I plan to do as a consumer - I just had to try to at least communicate with you guys. You will lose sales over this in the future. Games cost too much now - you all know this. I didn't need to write half of what I did, I'm sure it's all self-explanatory.

So, will 2k end up in the garbage bin as Midway has with me? Probably. I'll certainly never buy a 2k game ever again without extensive renting. And hey - if I'm disappointed again - you lost a customer. But, whatever, I'm just a frustrated gamer with a bunch of time on my hands, right?

Fortunately I rented the game. But after this game and last year's, NO WAY I'll ever purchase another 2K Sports game without renting first. The freezing issue is one thing. What's' BAD is how glitchy and poorly programmed Kush's games are: like a bunch of tech college students put them together. What happened to quality? Maybe they just need to hire people with talent, is all.

Remember the days when all 2k games were $20?? I understand you can't make them $20 for the 360, but how about lowering the prices to $40? Considering you made a game that doesn't even work....

the 20 dollar games were only put out so they could get more customers that year
then next year jack the prices back up to EA standards and hope people finally realized
their game was better... which 2k is better
but 2k and all other companies could stand to lower their prices a little
i mean i have the money for 60 dollar games but isnt it asking a little too much?
