I posted this question in the College Hoops forum first because that's where my problem came from. However, almost nobody is ever viewing that forum in comparison to this one. I love College Hoops 2K6, its my favorite basketball game I've ever owned and I've been playing sports games since Madden 93. Had it since the day it came out, but now I get what people are calling the "tip-off" freeze. Nobody knows what's causing it but speculations are pointing to the patch that came out earlier this month. I just want to know if you can delete a patch. (Don't smash me if this is a common sense question, I really just don't know). I'll gladly sacrifice the ability to play online (which requires you to have the patch) to get my Legacy Mode back. I apologize for posting in this forum, but I really want my game back. And... this question could perhaps be useful on this game tomorrow when the patch is released in the event that it too causes more problems, but I hope that isn't the case. I can't wait to finally play some baseball. Thanks a lot guys.

Did you try accessing the Memory menu on the Dashboard? Just a wild guess, but good question nonetheless.

I'll check it out, and thanks for the response, especially since I knocked you just a little while ago... my apologies for that

Hey, no apologies! hahaah No hard feelings, my friend. Sometimes I might go off on other too, but lots don't see that I am just being sarcastic and just trying to put some humor into this forum in order to lighten up the mood around here.

I heard that you have to reformat the HDD to get rid of a patch. I don't know for sure if that is the only way, but I have never heard of any other solution.

on xbox the patches went to the E drive which was not accessable to the user without some tampering. So i would assume the patches would have the same type of setup, and would only be able to be deleted with a complete format.

Civil conversation is now viewed as being weak... I guess I should have told him to get the f*ck off my thread in order to look like the rest of the uneducated people poluting these forums... to trapper and H4v, thanks for actually contributing an idea, and that's pretty much what I was thinking. There is no way I'm reformatting my HD though with 70 hours of Oblivion, plus all my other games. Hopefully they just patch the patch they already screwed up.
