I would pick
C: Would have to go definately to Omeka Okafor (i dont really know if i spelt it right)
PF: Ronny Turiaf, not only cause he goes to Gonzaga, but this boy got the game needed to play in the NCAA. (do I smell NBA potential)
SF: Adam Morrison, not because he plays for Gonzaga, but he's got talent and he's gonna be carryin the Zags in years to come, I dare anyone to tell me otherwise, and he can't miss from the corners.
SG: Nate Robinson because he is goin to be the most talented 5'9" gaurd ever to play the game period.
PG: I hate the son of a *****, but he's very reliable i have to admit, its Jameer Nelson, very reliable
now i know most people are gonna be like Adam Morrison and Turiaf, will if you guy's ever saw them play you would know exactly why I chose them.
P.S. Matt Santangelo was the best to ever play at Gonzaga, Stockton i would rank second

any starting 5 that is coached under Coach Tubby Smith. Any 5 under him will play team ball and play tough defense. That is the key to success

It didnt work????
27-5? 59-9 in the last 2 years? Look at the talent this years team had? How many of the seniors will be playing the NBA??? We lost in the second round yes but, Tubby got a group of nobodys together with no NBA potential and led them to a 27-5 record and the number one overall seed. How many coaches can do that?? If you can name one coach...ONE that in the past had the same talent as this years team and produced the same results then I will retract my statement.
Coach K?? Needs burger all americans to win, if they had a bad recruiting year they are screwed
Roy Williams... well, he is starting 4 mcdonalds all americans and they were 19-11.
Anyone else? If tubby misses out on some recruits(which he has a lot... Carruth, Parker, and Stone didnt pan out and Carruth and Stone were all americans. And then(i cant remember his name) there was a great center that tubby recruited to come to UK but he died of heart problems before he ever got here) his teams STILL WIN. He is the best coach in America bar none.

I'm not too familiar with Tubby's method, so I can't really speak on that, but I really like Gary Williams. What he did to Maryland this year was unbelievable in my opinion. He took a team of 5 freshman, 4 sophomores, and 1 senior and brought them to an ACC Championship.
The team had talent but their lack of experience really showed at the beginning and middle of the year. He took them from a Bubble Team to a four seed, all in a span of three games in which they beat three top 15 teams.
In a time when it was necessary, he stepped up his coaching, turning the freshman into sophomores and the sophomores into juniors.
Anyways, here's my starting five:
C - Emeka Okafor/Shelden Williams
PF - Kris Humphries/Josh Childress
SF - Hakim Warrick/Julius Hodge
SG - Andre Iguodala/Tony Allen
PG - Chris Paul/Jameer Nelson

J.J. Redick? C'mon man. The guy's 6'2", can't play point, and has been streaky for the only thing he's good at, shooting.
He's so one-dimensional it's not even funny. He can't defend, can't dribble, can't jump, and has only average athleticism. Yeah his shot is unbelievable, but too often, he goes on streaks where he can't hit and forces bad shots, i.e. the ACC Championship Game.
The media hypes him so much. Guys like Vitale and Bilas treat him and Coach Rat-Face like God. They're nothing but O-V-E-R-R-A-T-E-D!

i understand that he is overrated but i jus put him there cuz i think hell be a good fit as "sharp shooter" jus to stay out on the perimeter. i think he would be a good fit on a team with the players that were mentioned. but i would still choose McCants over him, cuz he can shoot and he can slash into the lane.

PG)Ben Gordon - Connecticut
2G/Swingman)Julius Hodge - North Carolina St.
Forward/PF)Hakim Warrick - Syracuse
Forward/PF)Wayne Simien Kansas
PF/C)Emeka Okafor - Connecticut
This is a best 5 team built for competition. Especially built for defense and running the floor. Can play man-to-man or is extremely long and active in a zone. Can Score and finish in traffic. Good height and athleticism at every position.
imagine a 1-3-1 zone like this
..............BG.........
..............JH................
...HW.................WS
..............EO...........
-----------------------------------------------------------
or a 2-3 like this
..........BG........JH..........
....HW......EO........WS
Mixed with a steady diet of Man-to-Man D
you guys team wouldn's score any points

I agree with you on Coach K but keep in mind that Roy Williams just changed schools and is coaching a team that had a horrid coach the year before. Roy Williams was what with Kansas? THe most winningest Division I college basketball coach wasn't it?

yes, i know miles doesn't score. but yes, this team needs a passer, not a scorer. and yes, you'll say "but felton can pass better than miles", no he can't. i can give you that they're equal, maybe. but i'd give it to miles on defense. plus, i love KU and i hate UNC, be happy i put mccants on there (and he deserves to be on there, no doubt)
