Any still got freeze issues?

I'm still having the freeze issue.
The patch was no help really...
(And yes, I deleted the VIP profile and the saved files and re-did everything....)

I never had a freeze issue until the patch was released. Now I freeze all the time. Thanks Kush.

I used to freeze prior to patch... now i dont freeze anymore but my highlight replays dont work.

it wasn't working before the patch and its still not working after the patch. I basically payed 60 bucks for a video game box. I am tired of trying out all these whacky ways that supposedly fix the freeze issue that people are posting on the forums. I think 2k needs to do something major to fix this game because they have already ruined their reputation. I hope this patch isn't 2k's final answer to this freezing issue. I would like to say that i am never going to buy a 2k game again but i can't since they are the only people that make baseball games for 360 :(

I froze for the first time today after the patch...going into the top of the 8th. i was losing 6-0 and then came back all the way and was winning 17-6. inning ended and it froze.

I had the game feeze on my very first game, bottom of the ninth when I was brining in my closer. But since then I have not had any issues. I have played about 20 games in my GM Career mode..... Doesn't seem to be a problem, I didn't need to download the patch.

no disrespect intended here, because I know you mean this as something positive to help people and I know it worked for you and it worked for several others.
But it did not work for me and there are several of us that this solution did not work for.
Again, I'm not trying to be rude.
Just saying that although this solution has worked, it's not fool proof.

Well I just tried it with Payoff pitching and it worked for me. But I deleted everything and started over before I tried it.

Nothing is ever full proof and I don't take your post as a negative comment. I know that there will be others who still have issues and those who don't. This is just one of several mixed solutions to this. Others would say do the cache thing and reformat thing. Others would say the patch does and doesn't work. I feel that it is a negative thing to have to resort to reformatting drives just because of 1 game. But considering the bureaucracy of the retail policies for returns and refunds, this case is special since the cosmetics of the game isn't damaged but rather the coding/burning or what ever that is, is not visible to us.

So that's why I say you don't have to do it and you shouldn't but you may want to reformat your drive and start fresh. It's obvious that the most help you'll get is from a select few on here and not the technical admins. So best bet is to try. Never hurts if you like the game or you can't sell/return it.

:( I also tried Steel Phantoms fix and sorry to say my 2nd copy of this game still has freezing issues. I have tried dozens of combinations with the settings and presentation, (before and after the patch). I have also cleared my HDD twice. I love baseball games, but all this work, just trying to get through one complete game has sucked the fun out of playing it.

I put my fix on earlier and when I first tries it I've now gotten quite a way into my season so if you want to try...

1 Clear cache.
2 Delete all old MLB 2K6 files inculing VIP.
3 reload MLB
4 play and save as normal
5 When shutting down 360 go to the 360 dashboard FIRST!!(Hit ring of light on controller and then hit y button and then choose yes.
6 Shut down 360 like this every time for every game


I did this and can play offline but I still can't log onto XBL with MLB.My other games work fine on XBL though.

Well, after the patch I was able to play 2 games but just lost online because of a lockup after I struckout. Is this related to my vip settings? I'm using breakpoint with all default settings? Sadly this will cause a poor player rating but luckily this was my first lockup in a ranked online game...

my freeze issue is with hdd and memory unit. after some troubleshooting, i found it was only freezing when I try to play with an active profile. as long as i don't create one, or load one, i can play to my hearts content. as soon as i create a profile, or load one, I never make it out of the first inning.

Did u guys use the same franchise and vip profile beore the patch came out. U have to make new ones to stop the freezing

Not true i have formated my drive before the patch was even installed and mine still freezes in the bottom of the first. I think 2k is done making patches nothing has been said since they supposibly made a patch that fixes this for some not all. Just have a look at their other games we were lucky thier was even a patch for this game cause the other games didnt get this far. Hockey still not a patch and basketball got a patch and now its unplayable for some as well. Well reputation is everything i think its great it has worked for the people who its working for but in my situation it still freezes constantly. I think we all just have to grin and bear it cause they dont care about the buying public if they did they would have written a memo about it in the mod forum they they were trying to help the rest of us who have freezing issues. I just hope they get this right next, not that im going to buy it. I just find it sad that no help from the guys at 2k offer any other solution besides a patch that doesnt work for me. The patch should work for everyone if not they should recall the game and send us a new one that does work.

Congrats and thanks for supporting 2K. My advice is that you visit one of the sticky threads, regarding SLIDERS and give Bigfnjoe's or the other guy's SLIDER settings. It will make the game very realistic and more sim oriented. :thumbsup:
