IS good 4 him he will start in center field ihopehim the best from the firts time i sawhim faces to face thanks to my uncle but iam dissapoined at the mets why not trade cedeno or weather . perez had great moments in NYC.

Perez's brightest moments as a Met came during his rookie season. He was called up in September and helped the club during the stretch drive before shining in the playoffs. He scored eight runs in the National League Championship Series against St. Louis, tying a league record. He also had a nine-game hitting streak in the postseason that year as the Mets reached the World Series.

That was my first time in America (2000) and it was unbelievable," Perez said. "I'll never forget the World Series."

JOSE REYES will be the only dominican n will be a little madd cause timo was like a older brother too him . ok :(

He's not going to start in Chicago. Aaron Rowand will probably get the job before Perez.

As a die hard Met fan. Timo had his moments, but the good always preceeds the bad. Yes, he had an unbelievable postseason back then, but do I have to remind you of the time he jogged around the bases when Zeile hit the ball on the top of the wall????

He is talented in a way, and it's a shame he never got his oppotunity to play full time, but he caught trouble with his little cocky attitude thinking he was the best. Plus, he has a very hard time hitting lefties.

yeah ill miss him a little but after while, he stopped hitting and then in spring training, he was AWFUL on defense. i watched him drop about 5 balls this spring. im glad we got something good for him. :D

I still have nightmares about Timo Perez in the 2000 NLDS.

Timo was a nice little player. But in 2000, the Yankees scouting dept (Gene Michael) uncovered his weaknesses in no time. He was exposed by the curve ball and ... the rest is history.

He could've been the leadoff hitter spark plug that the Mets have not had in a long time, but it didn't work out.

i remember when timo would get up in a big situation and you'd here the fans chant:

TI-MO (clap clap), TI-MO (clap clap), TI-MO (clap clap)

until he'd end up striking out.

anyway good luck timo, we'll miss you.
