If you use a router or other NAT device (internet sharing on your PC for example) and cannot sign in to ESPN NFL or ESPN NHL you need to update to the latest version of your router firmware. If you are using a non-router NAT device you may need to enable a "Loose UDP" (or similarly named) option or update the software performing NAT. Sega.com has linked the inability to sign in with a routing bug in some NAT devices. D-Link routers in particular may need to be updated to the latest firmware. Please refer to your router manual or the manufacture's web site for more information.

This will not, in all likelihood, affect the disconnect problem or address lag. We are still working on those issues.

good to know you have found one problem. gives me reason to think maybe you guys will find the problem with lag, however if it can be fixed is the bigger question.

They have to fix the server issue or they will lose a ton of money next year.

Good job on fixing major issue #1 8) . Only one more major issue to go!

The server move will probably help the lag issue, but I doubt they will completely fix it. Prove me wrong  .

Ok so here's my question. In order to play PS2 online my connection looks like this:
Cable Modem > Wireless Router (Linksys) > Laptop(with ICS) >(x-over) PS2

Will I EVER be able to play this game online? If not I'm going to be very disapointed because the main reason I wanted this game was to play online.

Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

P.S. If the answer was in that original post please give me more details because I didn't totally understand what to do.

I thought I responded elsewhere to this particular configuration. If it doesn't work now (and that would depend on how it doesn't work) then the odds are it won't work in the future. You're going through 2 different NAT devices and that complicates things. In theory, it could work and I wouldn't be surprised if some other games worked that way but I would not expect it to work in all cases.

If you can give a description of the actual problem I could give you a more definite answer.

OK well I have an even better one for you LeagueMgt...I have a D-Link DI-604+ router with the latest version of the firmware, connected to two PC's and the PS2. PS2 is in the DMZ (had to make it this way for other online games). I can't even get past the black DNAS authentication screen!! I get an error 0. So I figure I need to do the connection setup again from within the game. It tells me there's no device attached to the PS2. Is this because I have the GO.NET network adapter? Or is it something else?
