Everybody seems to think that Stevens is coming back......
but I have my doubts.
I really dont think Stevens is going to make it back, now I hope I am wrong, but it just doesnt look that good at the moment.
Right now I am having visions of the Devils losing both games to Boston this weekend, and dropping from 3rd to 6th. Then being swept by the Flyers 1st round.
But, once again I hope I am wrong.

As for the 5-0 win over the Rangers, that really doesnt mean anything because the Rangers aren't that big of a challange.
If the Devils are going to get anywhere in the playoffs, I think Brodeur and Elias will have to carry them.

Stevens will be back for the start of the playoffs. He has been skating for almost two weeks, and on monday, his equiptment was delivered to South Mountain Arena. Look for him to be practicing with the team on Monday morning.

I just hope he's effective.

As far as conference standings go, I don't really care. I almost hope the Devils end up in sixth. Takes a little pressure off. As long as they beat the Flyers in the playoffs I'll be a happy man. I'll be significantly happier if they manage to win the cup for the fourth time in a decade :D

"Stevens is out for at least the first round"-Some sports announcer

Looks like the Flyers will play NJ first round (unless PHI and NJ win today)

Might as well say "Stevens is out for the season"
