I think one-timers should be done differently in next years game. Instead of hitting the shoot button quickly after you hit the pass button, the player should have to hit the shoot button at the precise time the puck arrives(maybe holding a mod button while waiting for the puck to arrive) . With this added difficulty in completing the onetimer the success rate of making the goal could go up a little. This would be a little more realistic because in successful connections of one-timers make a ton of goals, but they are difficult to connect. In real hockey you see tons of pucks rolling over sticks or players whiffing the puck.
