Wanna Deep Franchise Mode 2k? Here ya go. EA sports had Minor Leagues for its baseball teams, you could call up players, play the games for any team in your system, or play a farm teams games. Well how about this for hockey. You create a player. You then choose whether you want to play in one of these three leagues all part of the Canadian Hockey League. Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Western Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League. If the player is successful he will be drafted by an NHL team where he may advance to the East Coast Hockey League, the American Hockey League, or even possibly the NHL. Whatvever league he's in, have the teams there, with real rosters, and let us play the games. Nothing would thrill me more then to play a hockey game where I can be my hometown Ontario Hockey League Erie Otters against our arch-rival London Knights.

Love this idea. It won't happen in 2k7, but maybe realistically 2k9?

Imagine if they were able to do something like, a first-person player mode. Where you could start out as a player at age 15 or 16. You could play AAA or go to a prep school. Then either go to Juniors or College. Then minors. And finally NHL. That would probably never happen though.

The game is called NHL 2K?, not JUNIOR HOCKEY 2K?. Maybe you're going to deep! I don't want to play 2 or 3 seasons as a junior before I can finally play in the NHL.

nah what they're saying is a good idea... If you could do things in first person, like the draft, or inside the rooms before games, or tv stuff or interview or walking into the nhl arena's would be awesome. Should just make a seperate game where you can do this.

Then you want a RPG not a sports game.

That would be awesome. And then if you are no good in the NHL or the minors or sumthin you can go to Europe and play. Would be time-consuming, but very fun.

I think they should do other sports games have done in the past, that is a mode where you create a player, and have him progress through the draft, trades, and see how well you can do in 20 seasons. Sorta like Chill's idea, but much much shorter, lmao. It could KINDA be like the 24/7 thing they do in the basketball games. I'd also like to see the mid season skill comps again.

Well, your supposed to be playing the role of the General Manager... I think. Here's an idea, you know how EA has objectives to complete each season? It makes the game more goal-oriented, gives you somthing to shoot for, I like that. Also, if you fail, you can be fired, so theres incentive not to fail. What would be cool, is that after a few seasons, your contract could run out and you can sign with another team, you know, build up one team, win a few stanley cups, then move on to a weaker team to see if you can build from scratch. Maybe thats just me, thats no good if your really team loyal, I'll play as anyone myself... well almost.

if they did this they would probably have to make a whole new game

If you just want the GM side of the game, try East Side Hockey Manager.

created player (like yourself) will be put in a team. all you need to focus is to play (like u can also control other players during the game). now based on your created player improvement (hits, assists, goals, intimidation etc) you can be kept by the team or else you'll be traded to another team, not of your choice but by the AI

Why wouldn't you want to control what happens to your player, if he's great you wouldn't wanna just give him away, if he sucks you'd wanna try and get the best deal you can.
