I'm really hoping that 2k7 has realistic trades, There are way too many trades in 2k6, but they are also unbelievable.
I'm my first season, Crosby was traded to the Nucks, he was leading scorer for the Pens.
Also Ovechkin was traded to the Hawks, he was leading scorer in the league. It's shame that franchise players are not valued more in this game.

You think thats bad? I turned off trades, and then 3 days before the trade deadline Martan Brodeour was traded 4 different times in 3 days. Involved in these deals were players like Matts Sundin and Joe Thornton.... Franchise players, they call them that for a reason, because they stay with one franchise.

I totally agree.
Trading is much improved since 2k3 (the last 2k I had), since back then you could pretty much bamboozle the AI. Now, it's harder, but if you're willing to accept only 3 draft picks a year, it's possible to make each one a first rounder, including the top pick overall. So the same thing you said about franchise players should apply to top draft picks - it's harder to move up, just not -enough- harder.
With regard to franchise players, I just had a case where a team offered me their top defensemen, a 29 year-old hard-nosed, captain of the team, 95% happy, in exchange for a 23-yr old prospect defensemen (low-80's, on my minor league team). Granted, they were rebuilding, but you don't rebuild by trading away your top player and team captain.

In 2K5 there was not enough (almost none), in 2K6 there was too many trades and to many stupid trades, maybe if they could be in the middle in 2K7 and with some more logic the trade system would be just fine.

Playing as Montreal, I traded Aiebischer back to Colorado in excange for Rob Blake, Andrew Brunette, and J.M. Liles...
Teams, shouldn't be so desprate to get BACK players that they TRADED AWAY...

Agreed. Perhaps putting in some kind of condition that it's extremely hard to trade a player back to an old team of theirs could work? Trading within your division should also be harder.
I kind of ignored the trades going on around me, but it was kinda hard to find someone to try to trade for. Like when I went looking for Thornton and Gagne(to reunite them with Rick Nash :p), I'd notice that they were in places I'd never imaging them going to... I mean, Thornton in Florida?
I'd also notice some teams being incredibly, unrealistically(salary-wise) stacked. I played against the Coyotes in Franchise Mode and saw Naslund, Demitra, Roenick, and Tanguay(!?).
