who do you feel is the best player in the nhl?

personally i belive that peter forsberg is the best. not just because i am an avalanche fan but instead because he is.

How can you say that? Watch him captain team Canada over the USA in the world cup, then u tell me how much he sux then...he just doesn't want to play for a shi++y team in a city that would rather watch football...i dunno why though the Steelers suck, oh but so do the penguins lol. Wow, I’m glad i don't live there...

mario is nowhere near as good as he was before he got cancer but he is still alright.

Forsberg is good too, he also gets injured alot too and he is on a great offensive team. Mario is older but he still has the skills maybe not the speed but the skills..

i know. mario is good and he doesnt have the sources forsberg has, but when people from your teams rival are saying you are the best player in the nhl that right about there should end the debate. no offense to mario cuz i like him and i feel sorry that he is on a piece of **** team like the penguins.

he just bought them to get the money he was owed. He sould sell them and become a free agent. 12M a season...unless there is a lockout then maybe 8m


He would look nice on any playoff bound team...too bad for mario. He should have never bought the pens...would have made more cash playing for 2 years...

i dont think mario lemieux is money-crazy. he wants to build the penguins up. Theyve been one of the hardest teams to beat for about a month. If mario is healthy next year expect the penguins to be around .500.

God i dont know why im acknowledging this post, but boy do i hate fanboyism.

All around yes prolly the consensus would be forsberg as mario doesnt get really physical or play D(:p) but with the way the NHL is its really hard to say since no1 can ever really showcase much, and this mainly comes from lemaire(the trap, devils)and all the holding,grabbing,clutching,ect.

PS:I always thought itd be hilarious if mario traded himself to another team for a good player(s) or prospect(s) and/or pick(s). I mean most teams wouldnt mind having them on there team, his salary isnt huge, so i mean do a one yr deal, trade yourself,play out the remaining yr, resign w/ the pens in the offseason :P
