Can someone explain this one to me? The current gen version is entirely identical to the next gen version and yet the next gen version costs 40$ more? The only way 2K7 will be able to compete with EA on next gen this term around is if the price is much lower. Otherwise, it's looking to be slaughtered.

Current gen, and next gen are totally different. A lot of the stuff in the next gen game will not be in the current gen game. Graphics are different, the game is different somewhat, and there is more stuff in the next gen version. So that is why they are two different prices. 19.99 is really cheap for a new game, I think EA's will be 39.99 for current gen, and 59.99 for next gen. Hope I answered your question.

it costs alot of money to add ice texture and shiney uniforms for next gen. Gotta make some money some how. The only way 2k is going to survive the next couple years is if they pull an ea. Remember Triple Play? They killed it and came up with MVP. NHL 07 has been built for 360 from the ground up, a whole team devoted to just the next gen title. 2 years in the making.

Actually MVP Baseball 2005 had the MLB licenses. I believe they simply changed the name, they didn't get killed or anything by 2k's monopolizing the MLB license.

What I know for a fact is that 2k got a golden opportunity to take over all of EA's baseball game fans by making MLB 2K6 the greatest baseball game on the market. Instead, it made a game that looks disgusting on the x360.

Point of Clarification: 2K doesn't have exclusive rights to the MLB. They have exclusive third-party rights. Which means that Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo can all make MLB games.

That is all...
