Finally, 2K decided to open their mouths about what is in the game. Nothing really outstanding in terms of features, but they seem to have improved the gameplay 10x. And for those of you who think the graphics are garbage, check out the screenshots...

The one thing that got my eye was the "cinemotion" thingy...sounds neato...

As innovative as the EA game sounds, I feel a certain sense of loyalty to 2k that I find difficult to overcome. I read this article knowing that I have already pre-ordered EA's game and I think to myself 'innovations aside, which game will be most fun?' Frankly, I dunno. Either way, crease control is something I'll have a lot of difficulty sacrificing if I do indeed intend to get EA's game exclusively.

EA Shot

Detail is so much better in the EA. This is breaking my heart because I am such a huge 2k fanboy.

But after watching the movies for 2k, im done with their hockey, Theres a fog, and its way to dark, arenas are not that dark.

While the animations look better, the same puck glue is present, the general gameplay "looks" the same, and judging from the screenshots, the movie we have seen in infact xbox 360, for the forum admint o try to mislead by saying no one said that was a 360 shot is just criminal. There is NO WAY the xbox or ps2 can do some of the detail that is in that movie.

As for cinemotion, 2k is going to way EA did that made me leave EA.

It looks like 2k7 will do ok in the end. 2k7 is looking a lot better everytime they reveal something about it. Graphics look more realistic, EA's look sharper, but less realistic.

That article is so correct. I think in the end I think 2k7 will be better, but we'll see. I am very pleased that the glitches are gone. And it seems as if both games have made drastic improvements. I like the adjustments they made to the franchise mode a lot. And even how rivalries build if you sleep with the coach's wife.lol

The problem with EA's visuals is that I feel like I'm outdoors. Not only is it because the lighting isn't hitting the players from the top-down, but there isn't that bluish tint inside the arena that... well... that you feel in real life, and that's in 2K's game.

Otherwise, I'd take EA's visuals over 2K's.

The visuals have always been a weak spot for Kush's NHL game, and I agree with this. However, they don't look bad in motion, and during gameplay. I always found the color scheme a bit too dark overall. The gameplay more than made up for it. The glitches should not be as present with a second year going for the 360. I'm letting the 360 problems slide for the first attempt.

Anyone notice how they fixed the faceoff glitch by using a cutscene like addition during the faceoff? Seems like a generic fix.

I find each year I get excited when I see EA's game and in the end 2K's always wins out as the gameplay is always better. 2k seems to slowly put information out their and when we finally see what it has to offer we get more excited where EA immediately throws out interviews videos and screen shots. Plus the customization is always a major plus as you can tailor the game to your liking and 2k has always been better in that area. I hope EA's game plays as good as it looks because I have been down this road before. As it stands NHL 07 is a wait and see while NHL 2K7 is a no brainer.

People have to remember, that not everyone enjoyed 2k6. I for one enjoyed 06 much much more.

Yeah, but many more people didn't enjoy NHL 06, and felt that the gameplay offered too much of an arcade feel. The two companies cater to two different types of people, however, NHL2K6 did offer MANY different ways to play the game. You could really tweak the game to your liking. People online always hated me when I forced them to play HOF with Simulation game type. It was the ONLY way to play the game, and it allowed for a much more realistic expierence.

Anyway, the skating animations shown look really good, and this unique control could really change the gameplay aspect. However, hopefully they don't go too far like they did with MLB2K6. The control does look really good though.

Actually, what is really going on is i'm seeing a CRAP load of 2k fans.... loyal fans defective over their disgust of 2k.

The EA fans seem to be quite content, as they should.

Thats me man, and it does really kill me to make the jump, but after the 2k6 lineup, and the early videos that have been released, it just doesnt impress me. It's almost like they just touch up every year, whereas they needed to do a whole revamp or recreation on next gen. Im disappointed. I still shake my head at the MOD who tried to suggest the videos we are seeing arent next gen, that they are xbox and or ps2. I mean cmon, we know 2k next gen shine when we see it.

There is more of them than just you. I know alot of people personally jumping ship from 2k after 2k6.

If you dig 2k6, thats fine.. you play what you enjoy.. i'm sick of these 2k retards trashing EA picking it appart making NO SENSE AT ALL!. All I can say is i'm not impressed with the 2k7 video... i'm not going to pull some horse **** out of my *** and say "omg, yeah the nets in 2k7 yeah.. they are WAY TOO BIG"

yup... retarded.

Yeah, all I can say about this new crop of games is that they are forcing me to think long and hard about which game I will choose...

The best part about that article was when they said the goalie glitch was fixed (I hope it's true) the worst part is when they said crease control is back because everyone abused that soooo hard online. Every single save was a diving save. Crease control can be good but they have to fix it....badly
