I just read IGN's interview on NHL 07 for the PS2 and it basicly looks like a polished NHL 2k6. They are adding what 2k already has. Right analog controls the stick in 07, 2k6 does that too, and it hooks/slashes. Right analog passes in any direction, good idea but you can do all that with 2k7. If I read the interview correctly, EA is not trying to improve goaltending, and again is doing something 2k already has by making it possible to score from the point. In 2k6 I get at least 1 goal from the point a game, sometimes more. EA is making it so you can score from the usual areas as well as new ones, creating more goals. So NHL 07 is turning out to be an even higher scoring game, and more arcady, and 2k7 is turning into a polished game based on gameplay. What do you all think now after reading more about the two games? I think for PS2, 2k7 is an easy choice right now, and for the 360, it is a toss up, though I think more people will go to EA's game in the end.

I don't believe there is any comparison between EA and 2K hockey. Actually, I don't really consider 2K to have a hockey game since I can't find one realistic feature to the game.

I think the best thing to do is wait and see. With all the gameplay videos that are out, and the graphics and such that Im seeing, it's kind of evident who truly went next gen and who polished a previous years release. Come release day I think you will see some tunes change around here.i have every year of 2k hockey/baseball/football from the previous years as far back as dreamcast. This is the first year, after the flaws with last years titles, and the videos im seeing so far, I will be trying EA this year. Kush has to do too much to get my money this year. I would LOVE to see kush totally redo the hockey series ala triple play and come out next year swinging, this year looks like a place holder for 2k, hopefully because they are working on something better from the ground up.
