I actually liked those videos, nothing flashy, just a good game of hockey being played. The graphics are obviously second place to NHL 07 but the animations look darn good.

This game is looking really good...

I really like the amount of puck movement going on. The AI actually looks competent this year. In the videos, when they had a chance to do some damage they didn't just run in blindly and shoot. They moved the puck around, waiting for an opening and pulled the trigger. That was nice...I'm please...

Though, I'll rent it first just to be sure...

I have to admit I like the videos too and I find that the on-ice game plays a little bit better than NHL 07 too (the animations in 07 seemed off). I especially liked how the players talked to each other.

Wow. I guess I don't see the same thing. I see the same game as 2k6, with a new angle, few new animations, but overall the same game. Looks to play the same, graphics look pretty much the same. Puck still has glue all over it...i really wanted 2k to take thier hockey to the next level...they didn't and EA did. The gameinformer even called out the puck physics.

Videos are better than I thought, but I still think EA is the one I will get this year. I LOVE the idea of the 2 sticks.

Really nice to see a full game. Animations look great, start-stop-turning, forehand wrister. Player/coach chatter seems like a neat addition aswell. Just turn down game speed + speed burst by, say 50%, and then you got a great game :)

The goalies are still **** poor.....this makes me sick

I think that difficulty setting is low. 2K does that every year.

Yeah I'm sure with the right slidders there would be less shots and more board play etc etc.

NOOOO the goalies still move the same way, I hate when they jump from one side to another like a soccer goalie trying to block the puck with th blocker. Why cant they slide with their legs from one side of the post to another like nhl goalies. EA has fixed that. I think overall 2k7 has better gameplay, in nhl 07 the skating animation is bad, they are just sliding (too fast). But, if the goalies suck, it will be a big issue just like 2k6 and it will really suck online. It really sucks in 2k6 having to hold back from shooting top corner, cutting in front of the net and shoot, wrap around and score , they all go in!
