Why is it the Rams run more when Bulger is the QB? Why do people think that Marts has any coaching ability, when pointing out the above fact? These questions and more will be answered someday, no telling when.

So I see GreyHoundSteve doesn't just argue with me? lol. Is he ever right? that is the question. He can't stop the run in this game, so he complains for a week while everyone else actually learns to play defense. Then i say I can stop the run and do it in all my league games. What does he say? He says I suck cuz I allowed 121 yds to Eddie George. Only thing is george had 18-42yds until 1 minute left in the game when he had a 79 yd run. Of course the final stats look good, but I held him to a 2.5+/- avg for the whole game and only let him get the long run cuz I was up 21-0 with a minute left and had pass defense on. Steve just writes without looking up the facts. I allow 55 rush yds a game in my other 2 league games as well, he shoulda looked it up before posting.
Then, he says Ricky Williams is a sissy and only falls over the line of scrimmage for 3 yds every play against the Bills last week? WTF!! Every commentator, writer and fan that watched that game called it a GREAT performance and some even called it one of the best RB shows they had ever seen. Sure Ricky only had a 3.7 avg, but he carried the rock 42 times and was as fast in the 4th as he was in the 1st Qrt. he killed Buffalo alone. A one man offense. How could you call him a sissy after he took all those hits and kept coming at em at full power and beat em? Steve you never make any sense. i enjoy arguing with you on here, but please if you wanna continue at least put up a good fight with facts to back up your statements. I killed you on every topic we post about so far cuz you contradict yourself and post dumb things like "3*3.5=10.5 is easy, anyone can add" Things like that give me an easy win each time, lol.
Dyganth
September 25th, 2003, 12:19 AM
Wow that's so off, Ricky did not kill Buffalo alone, The 11 people on Miami's Defense killed Buffalo. If Buffalo's Offense had been able to stay on the field longer, Williams would never have had the time to get the ball 42 times.
ThaEvilGenius
September 25th, 2003, 12:24 AM
But why was the defense so fresh? Why did the Bills defensive line weaken more and more each Qrt(Ricky gained more in the 3rd than the 1st half and more in the 4th than the 3rd). Ricky tired the Bills defense out and kept the Dolphins defense off the field for 40 minutes. That was why the Dolphins won. Yes, their defense played great too, but Ricky helped them and was the 12th man on the defensive squad cuz if you keep the ball out of the opposing teams hands, you are defending the ball correct?
You see the fat guy under your username? Hes good right? Too bad Ricky is even better and adams and williams couldnt stop him. The bad news for you is, next time he'll do even better, I guarantee it.
Dyganth
September 25th, 2003, 12:33 AM
That game could be analyzed either way I guess, we'll never know what would've happened if Buffalo's O would've been able to get something together. Hopefully Week 16 will prove a better contest.

We'll see. I wish the Bills goodluck cuz I want the rivalry to be like it was in the 90s. So, goodluck till you face us again and lose just enough to stay under us atop the AFC East. If you lose all your games I wont be mad either, but Id rather see the rivalry return. The Bills vs. Dolphins used to be the biggest games of the year for Miami fans, Kelly, Reed and Thurman vs. Marino and company.

If Warner wouldnt have had that concussion Bulger would have not gotten the chance to start week 2. Warner will finish the season not bulger.

i like how you "think" you win everything. What your too stupid to realize is that there is NO "winning" on a board, only posting and just cuz yur a miami fanboy dont mean maimi is the greatest team in football it only means you "think" they are. Williams isnt a sissy cuz he carried it 42 times, he is a sissy cuz he takes it in the rear. I attended UT the same time as Ricky and everyone on campus knew he was a funny boy. I guess in all yur man crushing you never noticed his lisp or the fact he is ***! I dont care really but im not the kind of guy to put *** athletes on a pedestals. I know he is no role model, he admits it himself but i dont want my kids growing up idolizing a homosexual. I think its perfectly fine that you do, this is america and everyone has a right to his or her sexual orientation but i guess im just old fashioned when it comes to my sports.

Give me a break, i went to UT so yeah i guess i just thought it was common knowledge but you dont have to have much of a ***dar to spot that one. Why do you think he wanted to specifically be traded to Miami and was begging Wanstat to sign Kordell Stewart? Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor said after filming a commercial with him that he was "flirting with us". He used to have quotes in th UT paper about how he wanted to cross "all bariers, even sexual". No one in the nfl outs these guys but common how many str8 guys pierce their nipple and have moma on the brain?

hahahaha. You stupid ****. So Walter Payton and Barry Bonds are *** too? both of them have the same lisp and talk just like him. I dont pay attention to football players sexual preferences either, all I care about is how they perform on the field on Sunday. Must be embarrassing for a staright man to get run over by a ***, sissy every Sunday huh? gimme a break. Hed crush you in a second and you call him a sissy, thats the funny thing. Also, if you didnt know he has a wife and kids that hes with every day, look on his website you stupid ****. Look at all the photos hes takin, half ***** women, kinda strange for a *** guy to have a wife, kids and only take pictures of women isnt it? get a life and by the way youre the one who uses a screen name that you got from your dogs name, how *** is that? seems to me you have no girl and youre the one callin people *** all the time. Youre always acting tough on here and ****, thats the classic thing to do when youre weak in the real world and have no friends, girl or life.

Thats impossible.LOL, dude im telling you that he was a little party boy, do a google search and read some of his college *** adventures if you dont believe me. I dont care if you like fruits. I just though that a guy who worships another *** guy was a little suspect. Go on though and tell us how tough he must be to take it in the rear.LOL

Hey I guess Tyson is *** too? Also Isiah Thomas? All speak softly, but all of them were at the top of their sport. I guess *** guys are the best athletes. Thats Ricky, Isiah, Tyson, Bonds and Walter Payton. Hahahaha. And no homosexuals dont get married to women and have multiple children and live with them happily for years. And like I said I dont give a **** what he did in college, All I care about is what he does for the Dolphins on Sundays. You seem to know all about his college life so maybe you were his partner or his stalker or something? All I know about him is he had a great year in 2002, he is gonna have another great year this year and Ive been to his website and seen the photos he takes and read how he plays Madden online. thats about 20 minutes at his website and watching him a few hours while he plays each week. Thats being obsessed? I thought all football fans watch their team play on Sunday and read about them in the paper or internet? Youve never seen people argue over who they think is the best Qb, RB, WR, etc? thats obsession? Then yea Im obsessed with the Hurricanes, Dolphins, Heat and Marlins. Guess what? I love it too cuz sports are the best thing you can be obsessed with. You must live in a sheltered world and also you musnt talk to anyone but steve your dog. Guess hes the only one that you sleep with as well, hahahah.

I can back up my statements, prove things with facts and insult you without having to post childish crap like your last post. This is my last reply on this thread cuz you just dont put up any educated stuff that is worth replying to, youre boring now its no fun to agrue with a person like you cuz its onesided, you can never respond to anything i write, you change the subject by calling me names and try to turn the thread into something personal that makes you feel like youre tough or something. Why cant you ever reply to the thread and keep it on the subject?
This thread was talking about Bulger being the starting QB over Warner cuz you thought Warner would start. Then I brought up the fact that my defense in this game is good so far and showed the stats since you said it sucked. I also was talking to a Bills fan about the Phins vs. Bills game last week. Didnt you notice we kept it talking about football and not the childish crap you reply with? He said he thought the defense won the game, I said the running game won it for miami, we disagreed but no calling names. Then you come along and start calling me all kinds of stupid crap and change the whole subject of the thread, go to another forum if you dont wanna talk about football.

And the reason I call you ignorant is cuz you post [***]
that makes no sense. You dont read up on what you post about. You said my D saucked, but its the best D in any league so far. You said Ricky fell over the line every play when he had a great game last week. You said you cant stop the running game in this game? I stop it easy most games. You say I only use the best team in the game to win? Im 2-0 with the Giants in a league and have better stats with them than the Phins. You get it? You are never right and then you have to try to make things personal calling names out over a message board to people you knwo nothing about. Thats ignorant and childish. If you are married I feel sorry for your wife aka Steve the dog, lol.

You miss quoted me, you isult me, you embelish the facts and you flat out lie. There is not point in continueing this. I'll just give up because im tired of your long ridiculous regergatated posts. I figured this thread deserved a bump.
The Rams are gaining steam, and it look like Faulk is only 3 more weeks out, the number 3 and 4 WR's should be healthy this week or next, and the running game really hasn't suffered too much without Faulk.
Things should be getting better from here on in. Even if Bulger gets hurt, with Warner not getting beat on nearly so much, he should be good to go if anything happens.
I've read some commentaries from a few DB's that say he acts like a guy who has just been hit one too many times. He's still a good QB, but if he's not protected he just can't take it anymore.
I'm not saying it's true or false, but Martz says time and again that Warner has such accurate throws, but then you see him in game where he's pulling the ball into his gut during his reads when he should be cocking back to throw.
*shrug*
Anyway, I'm hoping they stay healthy from here on in. Everyone is stopping just short of calling them the "greatest show on turf" again after MNF just because of who they beat. If they do that to Green Bay we'll be hearing it all week. ;)

Well, aside from picking on Steve, the Rams won again, this time disgracing the Packers.
I guess it's only fair to say it was inside a dome. Favre sucks in domes.
Kinda curious as to whether or not the game reflects this fact?
Anyway, 4-2 go the Rams. Too bad the Bears aren't giving me any love today. Not that I can really expect them to take down the Seahawks, but I can dream, can't I? I even picked up Chandler as my number 2 QB in fantasy play in hoping.

its funny how a simple conversation between two people from 2k3 can confuse so many 2k4 idiots. Its amazing to me how bad this game and its players have gotten. The old game was better and its members. 2k4 dropped about 20 iq points. The point of this thread was that Martz would NOT bench Warner UNLESS he got INJURED. Now i know all of you are to stupid to have read the original post and just want to make some uneducated comment but that was the original post and was 100% dead on. I dont like Warner. In fact i dislike Warner very much but the truth is that Bulger would have never gotten the start if Warner didnt spend the night in the hospital. Like it or not that is the facts.
Numbski
October 20th, 2003, 07:53 AM
I agree with Steve.
*ducks*
Warner is Martzs' boy. Really. Warner is more or less hat got Martz that coaching job. I know, I know, his offensive coaching abilities alone should have done it, but more than anything else it was Kurt Warner. When Kurt Warner is/was on, he was ON.
I don't know how many of you live in St. Louis, but back in 99, NewsChannel 5 did a special at Kurt Warner's house. He was out in his back yard with one of those tire swings...you know, the type with a rope tied to a tree branch. He had that thing swinging, and was throwing footballs through it.
10 yards.
20
30
40
I forget how far back he got, but I know some QB's who can't hit consistently on a moving target from 20 yards out, and he was hitting from WAAAAY the heck out there.
That being said, Martz wasn't about to go to another guy unless he had to. If you've seen what Kurt Warner can do when he's healthy, then you wouldn't either. Kurt Warner isn't healthy though. Sure, his hand may be healed, but he's sick in the head now. (bear with me)
I've seen and heard interviews from LB's that say when they played Warner earlier in his career he was the type that could gracefully take a hit, stand in the pocket, get rid of the ball, and go down, jump right back up like nothing happened. Now he acts like he's been hit one too many times, feels the pressure coming in and doesn't get rid of the ball like he should.
Bulger does it, Warner doesn't. Warner may never get back to where he was unless he gets over his fear of getting hit. End of discussion.
GreyHoundSteve
October 20th, 2003, 08:08 AM
Warner still has the highest rating of any qb in history. I am not a Warner fan but i respect what the man has done in the past and so does his team. Aikman got skitish towards the end of his career as well. Warner would not have been sat unless he was hurt which he was. Im not saying he is or isnt better than Bulger cuz Bulger is the man for the job now.

October 20th, 2003, 08:45 AM
I don't think Warner is injured any more, but Bulger is still starting, hmmm just admit you're wrong stevie boy (you can't seem to let things go). As for the road to glory league, do you see me crying on here about getting the boot, when in the very begining I couldn't even get a game cuz there was no owner for the falcons, I think I set up like 10 games with 5 different owners, which was ridiculous. But hey life goes on, and why aren't you using the BUCS?
GreyHoundSteve
October 20th, 2003, 09:50 AM
aw... no one wants to play with the puller....lol
I was using the bucs for my 1st few games but people didnt want to play me with them and i dont blame them. I never like to use a top team on the game, i dont see the skill in it. I look at this like any other game, the teams are nothing but game peices and its fun to me to do more with less. The bucs are my favorite nfl team and i wish them success but i dont think annoying other players online by clobering them does the reak bucs any good. It just makes me look bad. Any of this sinking in? That little animated character on yur screen is nothing more than numbers in code and winning or losing with them has NO bearing on the nfl. I wish people would wake up and realize this.

Stevie boy, that's funny...but the Ravens have a top 5 defense, and if you know football. Defense wins games, and to me the Ravens probably have the best pieces in this game on the defensive side. Plus I don't think running up the score is the thing that's making you look bad, it's you inability to be a good sport and lose an arguement once in awhile. Isn't that why this topic was started, cuz you got proved wrong.
GreyHoundSteve
October 21st, 2003, 06:43 AM
bay, if you think the ravens defense is better than the Phins, bucs, raiders or pats then this conversation is done. You think opinions can be proved wrong but they cant. I said Warner would start until he got injured which he did. Warner could have started the season 0-5 and if he was healthey he would have stayed the starter. Yeah if he got injured (which he did) Bulger would start and if he wins would continue to start. I never said that Bulger would be replaced by warner when hes winning..... You are just like the rest of these fools and are just trying everything you can think of to prove me wrong and the only way you can manage to do it is by CHANGING WHAT I SAID and making stupid statements like "the ravens have the best defense" They also have an 80 ranked offense (which is one of the worse) but i guess that slipped yur powerhouse team using mind.
